For what do I need handguns (ballistic)? I have the feeling they are useless in the game. What does the forum think?

I think it is more of a personal taste or something that really fits to your character.

Some handguns are great for their light weight, while still doing a lot of damage, compared to rifles or automatic weapons who takes more place in your inventory
