I defeated the three ghosts at the end but they just turned into ash piles

It also says that two of them are still alive on my radar

I'm stuck in the room

I also used wall of storms on the three amulets and the amulets somehow turned into buckets

Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have any idea it it can be fixed?
