Forced Retirement..

Azreal has fallen victim to to tech faq: “4.18 Slow/Frozen Doors, Fire, Spell etc. animations bug." With over 525 game play hours on the 360 platform, I am heart broken that her existence in Oblivion has ended. She is the most compelling video game character I have ever played with, and I want to thank this community for all of the diverse, insightful and spirited posts that helped shape and influence the character she became. I would also like to acknowledge some of the real world "Paladins" in the tech support forum who have privately offered to resurrect her file via hex for me. I have never participated in a stronger gaming community in my life. However, Azreal also believes in "dead is dead," and accepts that this phase of her walk has ended. She could change my mind, but thus far, I am not compelled to create another character after her.

I have purposely avoided several posts sharing the character's back story. Azreal was embarrassed that her's did not align with traditional TES tradition and lore. She was not the proud offspring of some famous Arch Mage or Count. The fact is she is "me." Uriel Septim was quite accurate when she asked him what she was doing in that cell during the opening moments of the game. "Perhaps the God's have placed you here for a time such as this." Azreal was raptured into an alternate reality called Oblivion from the mean streets of Queens, NY. She has spent her time in Oblivion much like Dorothy spent hers in the Land of Oz. Unlike Dorothy, Azreal does not need the help of a wizard. She realizes that God is in control. She has been instructed to complete her pentance/purgatory in the wastelands of DC until the final White Throne Judgement of Skyrim.

Godspeed.

I think there is a way to get 360 saves to work the with PC version of the game, i heard about it a long time ago though so not sure.

If it were true you could fix that bug :)

Well, life goes on. Enjoy the spiritual successor in Fallout 3. May the Nine let Azreal rest in peace.
