Forest Guardian ID?

Post » Sun Jun 06, 2010 4:59 am

I have two questions:

1) Is the Forest Guardian (the large brown bear you encounter during KoTN Crusader Boots mission) larger than a regular bear that you set scale 2? Setting the brown bear at 2 makes it huge, but I think it's not as big as the Forest Guardian. I forgot to keep my save so I can't really compare both, which brings me to my next question:

2) How can I locate the Forest Guardian in the Construction Set? I can't find it anywhere.

Thank you for reading.

Since KotN is a DLC (not part of base Oblivion) you'd have to have selected the KotN esp in the Data list when you loaded the CS, or it wouldn't be there at all.

Once you've done that you can check the scale on the Ref for yourself.

I take it you don't know the code then.

The Forest Guardian's CS ID is ND03Bear, but it only shows if KotN is loaded in the CS. It's scale is set to 1.3, which makes it a bit bigger than a normal Brown Bear, but not as monstrous as one with a scale of 2. You're not trying to create Bearzilla, are you?

Vyper, I'm glad you read this thread as you are the man with the answers :) and yeah, I am trying to create a monsterous bear lol. I'm going to try to work out how to do meshes for changing the bear textures too. I remember watching Lost a few years ago and thought the giant polar bear in the jungle looked strangely awesome. Thanks for your post and btw I sent you a message over at tes alliance regarding one final issue with the script you made (it's still a fantastic little script, but I just can't figure out how to disable the damage magicka whilst still allowing the fire code in the script).
