I just realized when I ordered the imperial edition of the game last night.....

I have no friends to play with , I will not be able to use this wonderful ring of magical friendship experience !

Even being in a guild that I am with many friends, I prefer to socialize in Team Speak while doing open world content. In game I prefer to go at my own speed, rather than be grouped, never seem to be on the same page as others. They are not ready when I am I am not we they are. So forever alone with world content is just fine for me.

Stop lying, you don't have any friends in real life.

This is the same problem I have.... I like playing with friends, but usually you are not always on at the same time. So when they do come on, you end up going and doing quests you already did to catch them up, etc. Would be nice if you can get the benefit of the rings by just being in a group with someone, rather than being next to them doing the same stuff. Does anyone know if this is possible?

You get benefits for being in a group, not sure they are to the extent of the Rings, though.

On the topic of not making friends in game. I have to say one problem I see with MMO's these days is the majority of people refuse to group with people they don't know. When they do group nobody ever talks to each other so yeah it's hard to make friends. MMO's used to be about the social aspect and while playing you'd be sitting there chatting with one another and having a good time. I suggest if you get in a group with some people start the talking. I have noticed if one person starts talking it may actually strike up a conversation between everyone and will have a lot more fun. Rather than the now so common group up, do what needs to be done in total silence other than maybe telling group how to kill a boss, and then disbanding to form another group.

It's worth a try :)

Dress a pillow up and sit it right next to you. Whenever you do something cool, give it a hug. If something goes wrong, scream into its shoulder.

If the chat is dead, I will start to tell a story or RP and before long, the chat is alive with talk and peeps go off and do content with each other. IMHO, that is a good habit to get into.
