I know on my first play through (about 20 hours) going about south of Starlite and around the Lexington area, there was a lone Brotherhood of steel guy. I can't remember if I did a quest for him or not.

Now in my second playthrough I saw him again, but avoided him so I wouldn't do his quest. I got ambushed by ghouls so I ran. I bumped into him, and thank god, he killed all the ghouls for me since I was about to die. I leave the area and now a few in game days later I am trying to look for him and now I can't find him.

So now I don't know if I imagined him around the Lexington area or what not. So my question is, if you know what I am talking about what was his name? Also if he did a quest what was the quest called again? I tried googling it and starting to read other spoilers trying to find this guy. Now I spoiled some stuff about the game for me and still don't know nothing about him and can't find him.

Anyone know what I am talking about?

I haven't encountered this individual, but now I want to seek him out, see what it is you've experienced.

Might be the wandering scribe, you can recruit as trader.

If he is in power armor he might not be a BoS guy. Is it painted with flames? If so it is probably the Atom Cats quest starter.

I never saw any BoS guys around Lexington. Maybe you met Duke? He's with the Atom Cats and his armor is painted with flames.
