A search on the Library might to do this justice.

The only real thing I can think of is the Knights of the Nine and that particular faction has resurfaced in recent years.

"that consisted of elite warriors mages together fightin for the good of the empire", the Alessian Order hardly complies. I could probably name a few that were fighting "against the good of the Empire", but that's a little different...

Excuse my Oblivion ignorance, but what was up with the KotN? Don't you resurrect them or something like that?

No, you meet their ghosts, and you reform their Order...

You would probably need to get back to the Second Era for this - the Reman dinasty probably had their equivalent of the Blades who might have been less than pleased with the akaviri potentates, and been disbanded as a consquence.

Though things depends wether they were dedicated to the Reman dinasty or to the Empire. Afterall, the potentates continued the Empire despite the fall of the dinasty.

Well in that case, there are none. If there were any, they'd be unknown to history, given the modifier, "Forgotten".

The Order of the Lamp=>http://www.svatopluk.com/daggerfall/museum/lamp.stm
Maybe the Imperial Battlemage's; since their war college http://www.imperial-library.info/tsobs/ was destroyed during Jagar Tharn's {Uriel Septim VII's Imperial Battlemage} reign, could work for you.

That's actually what I meant.... Resurrect in the "start back up" sense. Not the "some-undead-sum'[censored]es-runnin'-around-kickin'-people's-asses-for-the-Aedra" sense. But ill chock that up to my wording.

I was also asking if they fit into the criteria the OP mentioned.

There really isn't much of a difference to be honest.

House Sotha. Good luck finding anything about them because I can't. I just know that it was one of the Minor Houses until it was destroyed.

I guess you could argue that they don't even exist within TES canon. But nevertheless the Order of the Lamp was created by Bethesda but as far as I know not included in Daggerfall, so in my opinion it has some credibility as a lost or forgotten faction.

I think you should read http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/originmages.shtml. But you are maybe right, they are not included as a faction in game, so they are forgotten.

You can ask around about the Order of the Lamp in DF and get nifo, but you cannot join it. It was probably intended to be included, but it never made the final cut.

Well as long as we're worried about The Order of the Lamp, how about http://www.svatopluk.com/daggerfall/museum/six.stm ?

I can see it now. A glorious order, willing to ..ahem.. give their bodies to the cause. Fearless and feared!
