Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:44 pm

i was gunna make a companion mod for Oblivion with an Assassin in mind. Id appreciate everyones input on who they think are some of the best Assassins alive on Tamriel, specifically ones not already present in Oblivion (maybe some from Morrowind?) thanks.

The best Assassins are those who aren't known and are not caught assassinating someone. So this might be a hard question.

Assassins are the professional wrestlers of fantasy- if professional wrestlers showed up on Wheaties boxes, that is.

As already said, the best Assasin would be the one which never has been caught.

On the other hand, the coolest Assasin, would have to be Dram from Redguard (though, he was sort of sliced up, then fell from a Dwemer Airship -which pretty much means he's dead, plus that was around 400 years ago).

Though, what you could do, is retexture the DB Guardians Amour to look like Dram's colourful outfit, give 'em a bow, and say that a Sload resurected him (and gave him to the empire as a present, seeing as Dram was oringinally working for the Empire anyway).

Be that as it may, he was left rather unusable by the Black Hand's pleasant game of "PLEASE NO! STOP! FOR THE LOVE OF SITHIS, NOT MY...EGHNNGHGHHH!!.........".

Haha. Indeed he is most unusable at this time. Dram was good, until he was diced.

There really aren't many assassins mentioned by name. Most of them are referred to only by their organization, instead of getting named.

"Who is the best assassin" is sort of a paradox.

By getting one's name entered into the history books, you fail your task as an assassin, unless of course, your goal was to do that.

Assassins can still be great even if they are captured. Most assassins are only captured after they have killed, or attempted to kill their target.

I'd vote the Morag Tong who killed the last Reman. Silly impeerial beggar.

Excuse me? An Imperial beggar? And by what right do you have to spout such blasphemy?

Minas Torik, the Axe Man, has to be somewhere on the roster of notable assassins.

Yeah, all the not-original assassins use daggers, real assassins use axes.

Now we just need throwing axes in TES V and we'll be set for awesome.

Lord Woodborne did a good job. He met an epic death at the hands of Medora though. :hubbahubba:

Just lost your boyfriend and you have an extra vacation spot? Sure I'll stick around!

Also, the clothing http://www.uesp.net/redguard/images/dram1.gif couldn't have been more hideous. http://www.uesp.net/redguard/images/dram1.gif

That and it was totally non-functional. Or he was such an awesomely good assassin that he could hide wearing light blue and bright green.

However, the point I was making before with retexing a DB Dark Guardian's Amour to look like Dram's is that it would be immediatly identifiable as Dram's Clothing, in contex to his outrageous choice in designer (most likely a Khajiit overdosing on the sweeties).

Ancient Roman assassins were the best- a pack of fat man running through the streets with clubs, chasing togas.
