That's awesome news there Onra. Your really taking the right steps towards making a brand new essential. I'm loving the new architecture on the screenshots as well. Best of luck and keep us posted as you progress ^_^ .

hey....for the resources

The " Tamriel Resources" Basic Pack is ready to release ( a few final tests and making some screenies and a readme..that's it)

The Basic Pack will be the first pack that we will release. It will be required for all our mods we are currently working on. It comes with an esm (TamRes) and an omod containing all the resources (meshes, textures and sounds). The size of the packed omod is 251 MB ( which is nearly the same as 5 packs of the CURP for example). For people who don't like to dl and install the omod we will provide the single meshes , textures and sound files as an optional download. So you can choose between an absolutely easy install by using the omod...or you install everything manually or you create your own omod....etc etc
The next pack ( not required for our mods at the moment) will be the Tamriel Resources Architecture Pack ( wip) and will be organized the same way. This means the whole thing will be completely modular...you can use the Basic Pack if you just want to play our mods..or use the Architecture Pack for modding yourself, or use both ( we will provide of course a complete esm as well), or use just the resources and create your own esm/esp...whatever you like....the big advantage is that you don't have to dl and install a complete huge resourcepack for maybe just playing 2 mods....pack 3 ( planned for the future) will be a dwemer pack and will work of course the same way...

Every Resource has its own unique Editor ID (starting with a TamRes) and all meshes are stored using their original paths in one big TamRes folder . This makes it very easy to find the new Resources in the CS. The Texture Paths are the original ones of the used resources....

Last but not least ...no team related stuff has been added to our resourcepack (not even in the name) only free moders resources....ok sorry ..a little lie... I added one new faction

In other words... no permission dramas guaranteed...

Hey Onra,

You did a good job so far, keep it up mate. If you continue this path it'll be even better then the one with CUORP and TEC compatibility.

I still can't understand why you feel the need to offer the same pack twice; once as an OMOD and once as a collection of non-OMOD archives. If you offer one single OMOD-ready archive, it covers everyone. OMOD users can create an OMOD out of it and use the install script you provide, non-OMOD users can install it manually. Offering an OMOD version and a non-OMOD version will just be a waste of your time, having to upload the same thing twice.

The omod comes in one single download and is absolutely easy and safe to install even for absolutely newbies...
the non omod will come as 3 downloads ( meshes , textures and sounds ) and will be provided as an option for people who maybe want to edit things of the ResourcePack themselves before installing it, or for people who want to create their own omod or whatever...
For us it is not a problem to upload differnt versions and files to make sure everybody is able to install it the way he likes....so everything is cool B)

The complete Resource Pack has been uploaded to The Elder Scrolls Nexus. Keep in mind this is pure resources.

A special thanks to everyone who made these resources available to the public..

Fort Akatosh and Guards of Cyrodiil are being rebuild at the moment, so there's no mod using it at the moment. But one day it will ..

Cheers.

It includes way more than the screenshots can show at the moment, but we'll work on this part.

Tamriel Resource Pack

The next part of our Tamriel Resource Pack will be released soon. It will be called "TamRes Architecture Pack" and will contain for example the complete Dune resources, Blackmarsh resources, Valenwood resources, dwarfen resources, Skyrim resources, JonSatianis Telvanni resources and of course a lot of Mr_siikas fantastic castle, fortress and Jurad resources....
This pack will come like the basic pack as one easy to install omod ( optional we will of course provide the single archieves as we did for our basic pack) with one esm for using the architecture pack only and one esm for using both ( basic and architecture) packs together....

hey...short update for Fort Akatsoh Redux ..and a few new screenies

most of the basic exteriors of FA have been finished including the complete remade dock area ( drydock, imperial trading company office and storage) and the new drill area ( now outside the fort)
Tomorrow I will start building the exteriors for the different quests. If things are going well I will also place a small farm/ village beside the fort which could supply the legionnaires with food...

have fun

Pity that pics are so dark, the fort looks great. Where is it located on the map?

On the east-side of the Nibenay Bay.

We're planning to make a quest-system. Where you will be rewarded with rankings and other benefits. Somewhat like vanilla's ranking system. You'll start off at the bottom and by completing the special missions you'll advance in rank.

Very impressive-looking screenshots. When I first saw some of them on Nexus I didn't like the redness of the roofs, but seeing some more shots, they're actually not so dislikeable after all.

hey vorians ...

yeah I understand what you mean with the roofs...but this was an absolutely early state of my work...with all buildings and details I think it will look good especially as you usually not see the the fort from above like on the most screenshots...

it's pretty much low resolution and it's a small overview of what the encampment is like for those who've never seen it before.

i'm currently still adding quests. it will also have more dialogue compared to the old version... i've added two quest plots right now...

there will be a second location for the player to ehm "pick up" quests.

cheers.

hey@ all

things are going well ...so here are some first detailed screenies of the new Fort Akatosh Interiors ( legion kitchen, barracks, imperial cult shrine and the scriptorium )

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21856

Btw...the new version will come now with 3 playable and joinable factions the Imperial Legion, Imperial Trading Company and the Imperial Cult ( ...yes like in Morrowind ).Also I am working on different addional esp's which will add for example a small village and farms near the fort, a navy outpost and last but not least my version of the IC White Gold Tower including a full functioning Elder Council, embassies etc etc...these files will be additional or even come as seperate mods ( not sure yet)

have fun

Nice work on rebuilding Fort Akatosh and The White Tower Onra and Firespark!

When it will be released, ill replace it for TEC. Keep up the good work.

PS. I know it has been said before, but the rooftops at Fort Akatosh look a bit too red in the posted screens. Although thats just my opinion.
I would have to check it in game to make sure.

Very nice interiors. I notice you're using Helborne's bookshelf resource, which looks great with one on it's own or a few dotted around, but not so great when you link 4 up together - the shelves become too repetitive. We use the same resource in Better Cities for a library in the Leyawiin Topal Trading Company offices, and I removed some sections of books from the mesh so that I could give a bit of visual randomisation. You may want to consider doing the same perhaps.

...very good tip with the bookshelf mesh ...this is on my list now for the final things I will work on when the bacics are all done...

hey everybody...

here are a few new screenshots of FA showing some of the new interiors. This will be the last wip screenshots of FA now, as I have just 2 interiors left to do ( trading company and navy office) and as I will start working on the npc's, faction and quest stuff after my hollidays.

oh...I think you will notice anyway (screenshots) but Fort Akatosh Redux will be a cobl mod (only)... together with the other additonal planned esps's/mods ( navy base, council and embassies, GoC coble version etc etc) probably one of the biggest cobl projects ever... B)
