Fortify Shouts Glitch

Post » Mon May 20, 2013 12:39 am

I have a leather helmet, and a ring which have fortify alchemy. I'm making the fortify restoration potions, drinking them, taking the gear off and putting it back on repeatedly.

Am I doing anything wrong? It ain't working for me.

Repeatedly? Taking them off and then putting them back on once should do the trick.

Keep in mind: The description of the amulet of Talos DOES NOT CHANGE. Pay no heed to it. It may still say 20%, but it actually is increased. Try it out, and pay attention to your shouts cooldown. You should notice the difference.

Well, you actually need an Amulet of Talos.

Yeah I'm wearing an Amulet of Talos. Also I'm doing the whole thing repeatedly not just taking the gear on and off.

My shout cool time stats aren't going down though aside from the Amulet bonus.

It should be working. You should see the timer and numbers going down in the Shout menu.

Let's see. You have your gear on, your helmet, ring and Amulet of Talos.

You've made the potion, you drink it. You remove your stuff and put it back on. Leave the amulet on, don't take it off again.

Maybe your potions aren't strong enough?

What percentage should the fortify alchemy enchant on the gear be?

Do I need a full gear of Alchemy stuff? I just have the helmet and ring.

Also my potions are on average worth about 500ish after a handful creations..

But when I did this glitch a while back, I had my 5 pieces of gear at 29%. It would take me around 2 loops to get all the shouts without a cool down.

I get potions that had 3000%

My Unrelenting Force is 5, 6, 14. Is that normal with just the amulet or has it worked a little bit?

It's working. Normally its 15, 30, 45 or something like that.

The best results are when your Alchemy and Enchanting are both at 100.

It means it has worked. Whatever you did... you just need a little extra.

Woo! Thanks guys. Guess I just need to perk alchemy a bit to get tard-level potions.

You only need 200% at most. Any more is pretty much overkill.

Enjoy being a master tongue.

Alright.... my Unrelenting Force went to 8, 11, 25 now.

And my potions are worth like a billion dollars. What gives?

I believe there was a patch that "fixes" the glitch.

It will work as long as you don't go to ridiculous levels. You should only need 200 - 500% restoration potions.

WTF?

It is obvious that you are being punished for opposing Alduin. Repent, and he may forgive ye.

I think my shout cool down time musta got to like -123424646464345 and the game can't handle loading that [censored].

Like I said before, you don't need absurd numbers to achieve your goal. 200% should get combat shouts to zero. Summon dragon, Storm and similarly long shouts shoud be around 10 - 30 seconds. Perfectly reasonable. By 700% the numbers will start going negative effectively achieving cooldown immunity. Any higher is basically overkill.
