I'm not sure that companions will follow you down there, and the area is swarming with respawning supermuties. Sad, cause it's a great place, imo, and one of the outcasts can repair your stuff - if you don't kill her.

the outcast base gets reset once you finish the quest and can't be reopen. sidekicks won't follow you done there.
