Forum Downtime Tomorrow

Post » Mon Sep 07, 2009 5:08 pm

Between 2-5 PM tomorrow, the forums will be closed so that we can change the coding to UTF8. We're hoping that this will help with the problems that have been brought up re: long posts getting errors -- a common error particularly in our fan fiction boards.

We hope to have everything up and running in less than three hours. As soon as everything's good to go, we'll get the boards back up.

The rest of this thread is to be used on forum downtime haikus. Begin now!

Bethesda, MD
Does not run on GMT
Instead subtract five

Which means that it'll be between 7-10 for us Brits. Sorry, I dunno how to say that last bit as a poem...

EDIT: Although at the moment the UK and the Eastern states are both in daylight saving time, so neither of us are on GMT :P

Ban Hammer to clean
Hey lusty Argonian maid
Start polishing it.

Forum cut-backs mean we don't get new ones when the old ones wear out so we have to look after them.

Try soaking it in the fluids of the banned, I hear that helps it project the sound of tortured screams and shattered souls as you swing it.

Or club soda...

If that is the case,
I'll be sleeping over this mess,
not knowing any different.

...I doubt that counts as a haiku, though :D
