I know people have tried to get themselves into the game (or at least their name). But have any actually been included any books... and what is the likelyhood of this happening in Skyrim?

Let's just say I doubt we'll be meeting Captain Aus9 or a62172 in our travels in Skyrim.

I know the forum moderators get their name in the end credits of the game, other than that, I haven't heard of any forum members being in the game/lore/credits.

Edit:

Well, according to the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/General:Fishy_Stick he didn't end up in the book by name, nor referenced by Maiq in Oblivion by name.

They just referenced his fishy stick fad.

I'm still waiting to meet a bear that tries to hug you instead of eat you...
If it does, I will forever claim it was made for me :')

I'd rather have the polite but powerful banning type.

Well, the book was called "Capn's guide to fishy sticks", and the forum members nick was "Captain Eldrad". I'd say the "capn's" is at least some reference.

In Morrowind there's Ashes of Lord Brinne. Lord Brinne was a fan who died during the development of Morrowind.

So all you need to do is to die, and you might get into the game :P

It's a tribute to the Maniac Mansion games by Lucasarts that have a Chuck the Plant in them.

Oh I remember that! That's very nice of them to put him into the game. Unfortunately, I remember some other forumers who've died and did not make it into the game, first one that comes up to me was Grumpy, a modder for TES3. Would be cool to see a reference to him in TES5!
Also, there are some great forumers, people who've been here for years and years, putting many hours in improving the game through mods and/or helping a lot of people with questions.

I don't need to have my name in the game, I'm not so great and if I'm already there, who will I be? ;)

Our egos aren't a factor that should be included within the game. I understand there are rare acceptances to this, but I see those as tributes to die-hard fans (100% serious, no pun intended), but those are special cases, and I don't think that reality should become too familiar with fantasy.

There should be a library in V that contains a group of scholars called “The Forum of The Elder Scrolls” who just debate and complain about how much better everything in the world should be. :lmao:

Well, Hoblak (the Unlucky) could be used to demonstrate fumbles (game, probably not lore) if implemented. He's the character (from dice based games) that leaves no team member unhurt once he wields his sword and goes on a fumble streak. Again. And again. And again. All fights ends with a "whoops" and a laughing enemy. :D

Gurkog the Orc gets smashed and then Gurkog smash elves with hammer! A drunken racist Orc named after me would be super neat! (And will definitely never happen :nope: )

There's how they can get some extra septims: "have your name engraved on one of Hrothgar's steps. Limited time offer; only 7,000 available".

I want Todd Howard HIMSELF to convert this post into Draconic, and make it into a book and hide it some chest somehwere right along the game border. I mean, they've done similar stuff before; that "N'Gasta! Something! Something!" Book when translated is some weird thing about a Spanish Website's Newsletter or something... That is my Easter Egg wish.
