Hello!

I'm a student at Utrecht University and I'm currently doing research in online communities - I'm trying to judge to what extend they create new knowledge.

And since Fallout is my favorite RPG game, I feel quite inspired to do my research on Fallout community. In more details, the G.E.C.K. group, since there's so much insightful knowledge created here.

Could any of you administrators and moderators help me with some statistics about the activity on this group? Do you have statistics or do you know how to obtain statistics such as number of posts in a group between two points in time or two number of posts of a user in a group?

Maybe you could also help me out with some insights as to who are the most active members in this group and if they have changed significantly during the last year.

When my research is done, I'll share my findings about what is the way to encourage even more participation in such an active community as Fallout.

I think they cant legally give out information like that. Moderators wouldn't even know as they are not employed by Bethesda, and as such have no access to any kind of statistics.

This is a very diverse forum, so any information you think you may have found most likely wouldn't be accurate. Who is online when changes depending on the time of day, usually slowing down round the night time hours of the USA. The Fallout forum isn't as active as compared to the Elder Scrolls forum, and many members shift back and forth between Fallout and Oblivion/Morrowind. You can't really single out one specific forum.

Yea I don't know if we should point out names of who is on the most. But its generally what Echonite said. The Geck section tends to be most active in the morning/midday hours of USA, and overall is not all too active. But alot of knowledge is certainly created here. If not simply helping people learn, we work together to create new objects ingame, and all sorts of stuff. So alot of knowledge.
