I like it.
It looks pretty nice! :) Seems a little slow, but that could be because you just updated it

Nah, you can still clearly see it on the page, even if it's a bit tricky to read. 333333 was as good as invisible on the old skin.

Strange, I can't see it at all. Must be my contrast settings..

I think they're still playing with it. It's come and gone for me a couple times.

Upper left, next to the messenger envelope, there's the nofications drop down. What's the difference between that and the message number next to it?

That is your notices.
You can find out for yourself if you right click and say open in new window.

That, and the way running my mouse over the page makes it shimmer like heat mirage as it shifts. :P
Aha- mousing over any of: Report, Edit, Reply, MultiQuote seems to make the post widen a bit...

There's also some shifting when I mouse over any of the "page number" buttons to go to a particular page in a thread from the list of threads- and often as not that shift moves the button so I've got to make multiple tries to hit the moving target that is the button.

They're toying with me, I tell you!!

Heee, I left clicked the 0 and the dropdown, but didn't try the right click. Grazzi

(and of course, I don't what a notice is, but that's something else entirely...lol

Implementing a smarter search limitation isn't within our scope. If IPB official doesn't do it, we are not going to rewrite the limiting.

The limit was originally in place because it was a huge tax on the database to do searches. Now that searching is moved to separate system it wasn't very necessary.

I've dropped the rate limiting for everyone to just 5 seconds.

Thanks guys, that and the new three character limit is great!

Has anyone found the change name function yet?
Or do you have to contact a mod/admin?

Make sure you selected "posts" next to "Display results".

I can get mine that way.

Yes.

Ok, thanks. It looked like it wasn't being rendered correctly for me.

As for the update it feels a bit slower but that might just be more of a placebo effect than anything.

Bottom of the forum you can change the skin to IPBoard. It's fast.

Topics / page settings are in your profile IIRC.

My eyeballs thank you for that. :P The default IPBoard skin isn't pretty, but at least I can read the forum for more than five minutes at a time now.

In regards to speed / CPU usage some people have been posting about...I've tried the forums out on two PCs now, both running Firefox 3.6.12: my lightning-fast desktop, and my netbook, which is considerably slower, has about a third of the memory, and no independent graphics card. I've never had trouble with the forums on my desktop (and still don't). The netbook, on the other hand...it struggled with the last update, and scrolling was very slow and unresponsive--but I could still read the forums if I was patient. With the new update, I'm pretty sure a snail could scroll faster than my netbook could; the forums are basically unreadable now on that machine, they're so slow. I would hope that something can be done to make the forums easier to read for those with slower machines.

I can't say I like the new look - I didn't realise that Wikia's new skin change applied to Bethesda's forums... Is this a hint that Jimmy Wales has bought Bethesda?

Have gif animations been fixed? I think I saw a few. Mine doesn't seem to be animating though, maybe it's just a cache thing. Does it look animated to anyone else?

Don't like this, myself. I just got used to the last update. :l What was wrong with that one?

It just looks very... childish. Like something I'd see on the CITV homepage. May just be me...
