Bottom of the forum you can change the skin to IPBoard. It's fast.
Topics / page settings are in your profile IIRC.
My eyeballs thank you for that.
The default IPBoard skin isn't pretty, but at least I can read the forum for more than five minutes at a time now.
In regards to speed / CPU usage some people have been posting about...I've tried the forums out on two PCs now, both running Firefox 3.6.12: my lightning-fast desktop, and my netbook, which is considerably slower, has about a third of the memory, and no independent graphics card. I've never had trouble with the forums on my desktop (and still don't). The netbook, on the other hand...it struggled with the last update, and scrolling was very slow and unresponsive--but I could still read the forums if I was patient. With the new update, I'm pretty sure a snail could scroll faster than my netbook could; the forums are basically unreadable now on that machine, they're so slow. I would hope that something can be done to make the forums easier to read for those with slower machines.
