I know, but around here, I've met the kind of people who consider anything you say moot if you make a typo.

Oh my lords  I was goning question your seriousness but I've been to... Rule of the Internet #1 so I believe you

Edit: Yay, My Content updated :D

Er...so, this is the only forum you visit? 'Cause seriously, that's pretty much internet-wide in my experience. Only thing outstanding in that regard here (so far as I can see) is the relative scarcity of'em, or at least the extent to which the moderators make'em keep their heads down.

To those who use my Chrome extension: you should download the latest version of my extension, I just added autoupdate to it so you won't have to manually download anything again. :)

Very informative. I also agree with the comments in them. Some things stick right out. I especially never liked the way the topics were rounded. The graphic for each line http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/3566/32236553.jpg, as if they are glassy or something  IMO those rounded lines should only be for stickied topics.
I don't have an image for how it used to look last year, before the big forum overhaul. The ordinary threads were just flat.

Seeing that Bethesda skin was just a horrible, horrible experience I wish I could forget. Oh, I already did. Praise Grand Staff that they added the little skin switcher box with the IP.Board skin. And I'll praise Defron for that too. PRAISE!

I don't know if this has been introduced with this update; or has been here from beforehand; but if you type the words "In" "Soviet" "Russia" in a sentence, in one of your posts. It replaces the sentence with "I am not funny..."
I lol'd.

well, looks like at least somethings didn't change, like the forum freezing every night at 11:30 PST :P

This is the database backup. It will eventually change but we can work on a few things at a time.

The updating of My Content is really slow. This intentional?

Ah, I figured it was something along those lines, but it's good to know for certain what it is.

Well, avatars seem to update in posts only after a force-refresh (ctrl+shift+R in Firefox). But strangely, after I had set the new avatar, even though it still showed the previous one until I force-refreshed, it was scaled to dimensions of the new one.

I still like the old forum look the best, but I guess change is inevitable...

Out there far away a Grammar Nazi is cracking their knuckles and then proceeds to twirl their rediculous but sinister thin mustache.

I think it's okay. I don't really think it's that much better than the previous one. But since I have a really slow internet-computer (my pc doesn't have any) it does seem laggier than normal, which can get on my nerves a bit, but I'm kinda used to it, so no big deal. It also gave me the opportunity of uploading a file from my computer itself, which is nice, so now I have this new kickass avatar. :D

So all in all: It's okay, but I could have gone without it and the two hours I had to wait before it came back up. >:c (just joking, eh.)

open it with gimp, choose image -> scale image, shrink to 90x90, save it, when prompted select "save as animation"

If you want it to look nicer after scaling:

open it with gimp,
image -> mode -> RGB,
image -> scale image, shrink to 90x90,
image -> mode -> Generate optimum palette of 32 or 16,
save it, when prompted select "save as animation"

Since they gave the Pinned topics an unique class id I can finally do this:

^_^

Large update to extension: The pinned topics are now hidden by default, but you can click on the forum title to toggle them.

Screenshots:

Community Discussion http://goo.gl/GNvYV / http://goo.gl/r6OsB / http://goo.gl/sxpgx

Thread http://goo.gl/ZDZec / http://goo.gl/qFYl4

Fallout http://goo.gl/HJlB2 / http://goo.gl/Q4dkU
FNV Mods http://goo.gl/9zqOY / http://goo.gl/X5EDD

The extension will auto-update for you if you already have it. I think it checks every 4 hours, but I'm not sure. If you're really impatient you can go to chrome://extensions/ and click Update Extensions Now

If you don't have the extension, you can use the link in my signature.

Now it looks way better and works much faster than previous one on my phone. Well done, thanks :)

edit
I am referring to general update of the forums and the mobile version. One thing though:
Text in the control panel (the one with "sign in", "register now", "members" etc links) is aligned to the centre and it is hard to find it, ie. I must scroll to the right to get there (even if all other texts are aligned to the screen size). It is the same on Opera Mobile and IE. I think it should be left aligned, or aligned to the screen size as is it for the rest of the forums.

I see the gripes I screenied have all been fixed. Good job :)

The forum topics page (what's that called, anyway?) is still too gray though. It works find with Rogue Warrior's black background, but against the grays/browns of the CD/Fallout/TES forums, it's none too easy on the eye. More contrast, perchance?

And we still need some way of getting direct to CD from the forum index, even if it is just at the bottom of other forums' lists like before the update. And as a pre-emptive strike, there are people who have joined these forums specifically for CD :P

Thank you- while the relevance overall is minor, at least now I can stop twitching thinking my ISP is acting up at consistent times. :D

You mean like being able to go to the "Fallout" section and have CD listed at the bottom of that...like I've been using since last evening after the update? Or am I just really missing something?
