Forums are for complainers.

Okay? So can I. Half-Life 2 was fine art. Bioshock was fine art. Morrowind (or, to be fair, what I saw of it) was fine art. Oblivion, while entertaining in the long run, did not have the same polish that made games like HL2, Bioshock, or MW. Skyrim seems to be shaping up this way, too.

edit: So, sorry, I'm not completely sure what your point is/was.

All of those games were indeed fine art!

People who start these threads need to realize that if it weren't for "complainers", Skyrim wouldn't be the game that it is. Player feedback helped draw Bethesda's attention to many of the issues that plagued Oblivion — generic, bland world design, repetitive copy-pasted dungeons, atrocious level scaling (every Bandit suddenly sprouting Glass Armor, etc.), the crappy old leveling system that rewarded players for ass-backwards meta-gaming, ugly character faces, too few voice actors... and many, many more.

Without feedback, issues don't get addressed. People who whine about "complainers" are bad and you should all feel bad.

This is all true, but I never claimed that I had a better outlook on life or that I was better than you in anyway. I was merely speaking from a neutral standpoint, from the outside looking in. I see myself for what I am and I have plenty of faults, as do we all.

All people speaking from the outside looking in are oblivious to their own situation until someone tells them they're a hypocrite, then they try to act like they weren't condescending even if they just called everyone a manicly depressed loser.

Damn did I just do it?

Is there anyone this is news to?

It is news to him... lol.

His complaint about "People talking publicly about problems with this game" in a "Public Forum", dedicated for "This game", designed to "Talk in public"... could not be more ironic, as the other 50% of the posts, from people with apparently no problems.

Rolls-Eyes...

Great, another whiner without problems whining about people with actual problems...

You are right, we should just avoid communicating our issues on the investment we just made, surrendering all rights to get what we paid for, because you got what you paid for... rather... you got what we paid for...

(That was to the original post, not the quoted post.)

The reality is that people who enjoy things and who have a better outlook on life seldom visit internet forums.

*Tear*

Wait, what is your excuse (other than obvious troll trolling obviously?)

If you're talking about issues such as bugs then I agree, but if you're talking about gameplay mechanics then that is entirely subjective. What looks bad to you may look like heaven to someone else.

Uh... okay? Sorry, I'm still not sure what your original point was with the comment about Beethoven, etc?

If you're bored then maybe thats a symptom of a larger problem? Maybe try and find a job? Go to school? Do something other than sit on your butt complaining about artwork?

Not really. My life is quite full, thanks. I think somebody else in this thread has a problem, though.

Hint: it's you.

LOL!

When did I ever say that you're manicly depressed? Exaggerate much?

Well, by that token, next time around, we'll be missing smithing, enchanting, alchemy, but magic damage will be up, but I'll be able to wear different armour gloves, and every enemy will hit 4x as hard because Master is too easy. Whew. That's a relief.

Just because something is subjective doesn't mean you can't argue about it, and it doesn't mean it's completely subjective, on every level. I think most people would agree that, I don't know, Hamlet, is a better book than Thomas the Tank Engine. You could still say, hey, it's art, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, all that jazz, but somehow I feel someone could still make a case that Hamlet is better Thomas the Tank Engine.

Similarly, I feel like I could make the case that, for example, the beginning of the plot to Morrowind is better than the beginnings of the plots to Oblivion and Skyrim. (I'd make arguments about the whole plots but I've only finished Oblivion's).
