Found an odd unknown location, thoughts?

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 9:29 am

An unusual location I found while using the 'moveto' console command to locate Viola Giordano for the 'Blood on the Ice' quest, as she is missing from my game currently (this appears to prove it).

The game list this location as 'Unknown Location' in my save file, not sure if it has a proper name or where to find the location id.

In it found a plus (+) shaped corridor with one living NPC (M) and several dead ones (Viola, Edda, Nepo the Nose, Tynan, and a few others). These were all NPCs that had been killed at one point or another, aside from the one living NPC. Appears to be nothing but an endless expanse outside.

Also, the boxes on the ground are empty coffins.

Some kind of purgatorial death locker? Thoughts?

tl,dr: Weird location found. What do you think it is?

Tried getting a screen shot to work but nothing I tried was working.

I think it's the Dev room. Where they test if all the weapons, armours, mobs, AI, Animation and stuff works.

Not sure that would explain how some of the NPCs I've killed have ended up there though. Though it certainly could be the case.

I think it's the Dev room.

Looks like it, also looks like a throwback to Daggerfall

Are there multiple Dev rooms? The only one I've seen so far was using textures found in a barrow and have cabinets full of every item.

Strangely enough, it was reported by a person with a "Today" account and with the same picture.

Very Daggerfall-esque. Almost makes me wish they'd made a real dungeon just like this.
