Found out what my Skyrim character's made up name means in real world languages today. XD
So I make up this funny thing in my personal story/lore for elder scrolls where my dragonborn character becomes worshipped as a new deity and 10th divine to the nords.
I wanted something that sounded like Talos but with a Nordic feel to it instead of Roman/Imperial, so I wrote a list of about a hundred syllables and finally decided on using the name "Herjeim" for my Skyrim character when he becomes a deity.
Turns out the word means "goodness gracious" in German. XD
There's also a Swedish name Herje, im just means "in the". Herje is a variant form of Harje, which itself is a modern form of hargeir, with har meaning army, or warrior or leader, and geir being an old norse word for spear. Exists in the modern English word garlic, literally meaning gar leek, or spear shaped leek.
Anyways I thought that was cool so I decided that my name Herjeim is a name made by the nords in their ancient languaged meaning the warrior/champion/leader who speared Alduin for the people of Skyrim. Like the leading champion spear of the Nords or something. XD
I have too much fun with this. DX
