Mods couldn't keep me. It's just missing too much in the way of replayability for me. Great writing, but writing alone isn't enough.

This game had great replayability. Better than FO3 by a long shot.

Hi im new to the forum but have been an active user at the Vault wiki for years i was snooping around Trademarkia to see if any release dates where filed on the 3 upcoming Dlc pages.I saw that the supposed publication date for the
Honest Hearts dlc is April 19th 2011 check for yourselves http://www.trademarkia.com/honest-hearts-85198870.html The release dates for the other two DLC'S.Old World Blues and Lonesome road aren't announced on trademarkia yet
so we have 24 more days to wait.

So close yet so far! If your right which I'm sure you are, your the king! Sad that we had to learn this way instead of them just telling us. They are way to slow for my liking.

Anyway ALL HAIL THE KING!

eh it can be debated but itll jus come down to FO1&2 fans vs FO3 fans so ill jus leave there.

and yeah mods are nice but patches that fix all the dang bugs would be better

While it's good news it's sad that users of the forums has to research for this information themselves rather than having the developers simply do a blog or release the info in a magazine or something.

Maybe so but they do plan to announce soon and the release being a few weeks afterward isn't really surprising.

And of coarse the forum people who have been following steadily are irrelevant to this because they have a time frame in their mind that's most likely correct.

An announcement is nice but doesn't equate to a bad or idiotic strategy. Just impatient players.

I'll reiterate, this is exactly one of the reasons why expansions in the console space is currently no where to be found along with others like time and cost.

Play the game, drop in the blog time-to-time, talk on the forum, go do -anything- in the physical/mental world. At this point asking when is redundant, and we already know the next add on will most likely have Graham and if not Ulysses.

And no that piece of advice wasn't mine, a shortened an more straight forward version came from Josh E. Sawyer.

The releasedate being announced by a user on the forums instead of the devs is a slap in the face for Obsidian though, haha. Hope it's true, nice find!

Bethesda does every ounce of PR for New Vegas and handles the ship dates of all of the DLC.

Obsidian is not at fault at all.

How come Bethesda released the dates for F3 within time and schedule.

Who's schedule? Is that supposed to be a counter-argument for what I stated, which is a fact? I'm not understanding.

i like the xbox but i do play stalker on the 360 and it at least it ain't ever boring, but i am hoping they fix the new vegas map so it ain't so static, its kinda not saying much that new vegas needs mods to stay interesting, but maybe obsidian will make some improvements to the base map like adding plenty of random encounters. if not there's other games to play.

What im trying to say is that they released the DLC's within a nice month or two of each other. Plus came out with them relatively quick.

Yes, sure, but how is that relevant to what I was saying? It doesn't matter what Bethesda did for Fallout 3, the point is that Obsidian is not at fault for the long wait for the DLC and the quietness about it, because Bethesda is the one that mandates deadlines, PR, etc.

Still a fairly long wait. But at least we know the release date (until Bethesda denies it).

Really 24 more days? I thought it would be around the beginning of April. Owell at least we have something solid to wait on. And maybe we'll get a trailer or two next week or so?

How early do they do trailers, I would like a feel for what this DLC will be like.

This is probably legit, nobody has said it wasn't yet and Gstaff nor any other dev has said anything. I'll be happy now that all these *Where are mah DLC?* threads are gonna die. Although they were a good place to vent frustration over the wait for the next DLC, hopefully anymore that pop up will be locked by the Forum ninjas; does that make me a hypocrite?

we need this stickied. That way it can stem the "ZOMG GUIZ WHERE ARE TEH DLC DIS SUXXORZ I AM BOERD THIS GAME IS DUM" threads.

They could put all of it in a picture, make it the background for the forums, and even add a pop-up that screamed the release date, and people would still post exactly the kind of thread you just described.

It's a nice thought though.
