I found the Honest Hearts Release date!

Fallout 3 has a much higher explorability level however, meaning that many people will prefer it to NV, making the words "IMO" a definite necessity, especially on this forum.

again lik i said b4 its goin to come down to FO1&2 fans vs FO3 fans (or more or less lore/story vs exploration/setting). the guy needed to say IMO cause saying anythin is better than somethin else is an opinion. /argument.

ps @Carolina89 clemson ftw! lol =)

on topic: hopefully obsidian doesnt wait til the week of its release, lik bioware and the arrival dlc, to release the trailer.

Depends on what you consider as exploring and what you don't. To me, for example, New Vegas has much higher explorability level, because I count all the outcomes and different ways of solving quests as exploration too, not just scanning the landscape and the number of dungeons.

1. Is not, I loved it. ;D
2. Good.
3. Buy 'em! Fast and hard!
4. Timesink.
5. Might as well if you've played Oblivion and plan on buying Skyrim.
6. It's basically an Oblivion clone.
7. Aw. I find them to be fun, I'm not into competitive gaming much either but L4D is great with it's co-op, also an awesome game to play with friends.
8. Yup, only thing I dislike is that the time seems to be going way too fast, I barely have time to stock up on crap, explore, kill psycho's or save survivors before I lose a main quest.
9. Do know, great classic. :goodjob:

Oh well, anyway, it's got great writing, awesome setting, awesome characters, brilliant humor and unique and iconic characters and enemies.

"Weird" is an understatement, Planescape is a very bizarre, mindscrew of a setting. Picture Through The Looking Glass/Alice in Wonderland, add in deities and a healthy dose of grimdark and you'll be on your way to having a vague idea as to what the Planescape setting is like. It is awesome.

As for Torment, it's probably the best written RPG to date. It's not for everyone though; particularly people who don't like mindscrew, traditional RPG gameplay, and lots of dialogue. Torment has a terrific story if you don't mind, or even enjoy the bizarre however.

but in NV you are sent trekking all across the wastes and if you just follow the story in FO3 then the farthest you are sent is vault 83 (raven rock doesnt count cause you dont have to transverse the wastes to get there)

I always wondered how on Earth exploration adds to replayability, unless the game world is randomly generated like Minecraft or something.

I mean, once you've explored something, thats it. Exploring it again in another playthrough doesn't add anything new...

They're approximately the same size. New Vegas' map is not a perfect square.

J.E. Sawyer posted the tilecount of the maps at some point last year (I think it was FO3: 50x50, and New Vegas: 40-45x60-65 - or something to that effect).

yeah the map might but the actual size is smaller (whole left side of map is not there). also dont forget all the invisible walls.

The picture of the map in the pipboy is actually bigger than that of Fallout 3's because it holds areas inaccessible to the player. The actual gameplay area is what the tiles did count and that is about the same size. What about the invisible walls (you can get around most - that matter - in some way or the other)?

Hi im new to the forum but have been an active user at the Vault wiki for years i was snooping around Trademarkia to see if any release dates where filed on the 3 upcoming Dlc pages.I saw that the supposed publication date for the
Honest Hearts dlc is April 19th 2011 check for yourselves http://www.trademarkia.com/honest-hearts-85198870.html The release dates for the other two DLC'S.Old World Blues and Lonesome road aren't announced on trademarkia yet
so we have 24 more days to wait.

"Published for opposition date" doesn't mean the game release date. theres still at least 30 more days after 4/19 before the trademark is owned. http://stepstoatrademark.net/publicationforopposition.html . sorry to break it to you, I understand if you all hate me

Doesn't bother me in the least. Longer it takes, better it'll be. Pretty simple logic. Never really understood why people would want them to churn out mediocrity just for the sake of having it. Personally I want quality plot, voice acting and of course an epicly designed "New Canaan" to run amok in.
