Four Factions, Four DLCs?

Post » Mon Dec 07, 2015 3:55 pm

This seems like a solid idea. Side campaigns for each faction.

I really want a Minute Men DLC to flesh them and the Gunner factions out. Why did the Gunners attach the MM? Who leads the Gunners? How were the MM established? And obviously a Minute Men campaign against the Gunners to put them and their leader down.

The Institute DLC could be the submarine Power Armor in Cape Cod DLC I keep talking about. Shaun either gives it to you while he's alive or he's left a holotape for you post-game.

BoS: More Maxson. Maybe internal politics

RailRoad: More toaster-hugging or trying to get into Glory's metallic panties?

Maybe something to along the lines of establishing a government and a working democracy out of the Commonwealth (for all factions).

Ideaurrs??

Why not quests for all 4 factions? Especially since the endings are very similar for all of them except for Institute.

BoS: Have Danse as the elder.

RR: What to do next now that their shortsighted and idiotic goal is accomplished.

Institute: Internal conflicts with you as director, like your goal for the future if you decide to help the surface.

Minute Men: Big expansion and become an actual power.

Senpai noticed you.

I want to for Danse to be elder, and if I am elder, I hope I get a quest to bring Danse back into the institute.

He joined before you, rank higher, so he's your upperclassman. He's your senpai. Kouhai got his attention though since Senpai will be watching out for you.

I do agree with many that there should be an DLC specialized for each faction. I also agree with other many that there should be an ability to change your own faction.

Brotherhood of Steel DLC - I would like if we could visit a small part of Washington and see how it looks now and the effect the Purifier caused on the land. It would also bring you in contact with "Lyon's faction" and allow you to put them back in power should you be a member of the BoS

Railroad DLC - find out some not-so-nice Synth is unifiying other Synths and planning something more grand, like forming his own state. Decide should the Railroad stay just an anti-discrimination faction or if it should become a pro-Synth faction if you are a Railroader

Institute DLC - deal with the cyborg division, which probably moved somewhere else, and try to reform the Institute into a less evil organization if they won the MQ

Minutemen DLC - the final DLC (for most Sole Survivors are their boss, even if they did not take their ending), deal with some grand threat and form a new CPG with your chosen faction

I don't mind one DLC that expands the history of those four factions, but having 4 DLCs for that ( one for each faction ) would mean probably that there won't be DLC for other things,IMHO there should be ONE DLC for all 4 factions, that expands their history, and deal with the aftermath of your decision somehow. But other DLCs should adress other issues/topics

I'm confused about having dlcs for factions...mainly say you side with BoS, and a dlc comes out for the railroad..how would that work if you finished your game? Do you have to start over?

You can easily incorporate other things into those four. As I explained my own post, you can make it so that you visit other areas, deal with other threats your chosen faction will just unlock stuff. You will get slightly less, but still enough.

Also, you should have done a hard save on Molecular Level. That quest just smells of "I think it might branch on this quest!"

I think it'd be better to incorporate content for each faction but not exactly content which will require each faction.

Otherwise, how will we visit the Enclave Moon Base to fight the Space-Nazis there?

But if you bring the BoS into space, how do we separate which one is the space Nazis?

In Space?

Yes.

I also want to see the Zetans, Caesar's Legion, and Institute again in future games and DLC.

That's what makes it awesome!

Of course, in this situation, I expect the Moon Nazis Enclave to allow you to join their faction.

I'm also hoping at least one of the DLC will have a ending slide for the game.

As long as they change, I think it is fine.

And in FO3 it was shown that they were starting ti change their philosophy, with August downright hating the idea of murdering everyone in the Wastelands.

Next time we meet them, they may have already turned into a gray karma faction. And seeing as NV went out of its way to confirm that they still have other bases, I am sure we will see them again (and definitely if we visit Chicago).

Things I want to see:

* The Enclave Illuminati manipulating the right wing extremists in NCR.

* Enclave-themed gangs who beat up ghouls and other people they think are mutated.

* Enclave loyalists who were born from Vaults.

* Arcade Gannon forming his own branch as a force for good.

* A [censored] moon base.

Are you sure that the Lone Wanderer did not blow it up with his UFO already? He does not like the Enclave for some reason ;P

They won't do four separate DLCs focusing on each of the main factions.

Best they'll do is a DLC that expands on the endings of every faction.

They should call the Post-Game Expansion "Reforged Steel"

If they wanted to do it, I would have all four of the factions have to deal with a new threat with remnants of the previous factions all trying to reform in the Wasteland and you having the option to choose how to deal with them.

Oh man this would be gold. I miss the FNV politics! Follower's of the Apocalypse definitely needs a comeback!

And yeah shucks, what can I say, I miss the Enclave, no other antagonist was as menacing and dangerous.

-OR- maybe in the DLC, I'm hoping Bethesda prequels and introduces an entirely new antagonist. A spy or double agent from a previous or existing faction , perhaps now on the brink of hatching their own plans? Fallout could use a breath of fresh air plot-wise anyway.
