2 FPS with ok system

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 8:44 pm

For the first couple of hours the game seemed to play fine with a mix of ultra high and medium at 1080. The game suggested medium settings for my system After that my FPS dropped to 1 or 2. I have tried restarting the game, and sometimes I can play for a few minutes before the framerate drops again. I have tried lowering every setting I can find from the launch and the tweak tool and it makes no difference. I have tried verifying my files. I have tried deleting the local files from my HDD and reinstalling on my SSD. I have been monitoring my CPU and GPU heat and there are no issues. I do not see an overly large load on my RAM, and almost nothing on my CPU. I am running the latest AMD Beta Driver. Below is my system information. I know it is not enough to max everything, but I should be able to get playable framerates at 1080.

Windows 10 Pro x64

FX 8350 8 Core 4Ghz

Sapphire HD7950 3Gb

16Gb RAM

I had done my last driver install after removing the amd stuff with the new Windows 10 settings and device manager. This time i used the old add remove programs to uninstall. Seems to be working. Hope it lasts

It'll get better for you once AMD releases a new driver package...
For now: Medium preset and no AA.
Tune up your Radeon Control Panel first, with all Maximum Performance settings.
Maybe stop installing/uninstalling things (because it won't help)!
Patience. AMD is usually a bit slow compared to nVidia...
But in a week or two, with a new AMD package and of course a game update, you Radeon guys will be flying.

Turns out issue was a bitcoin mining virus. Should have only done it's thing while GPU was not being used, but beth games being what they are at launch, it tried to mine mid game. Check for a "Java Update" process running and kill it if you have this issue. Format reinstall for more complete fix.
