Framerate Issue

Post » Thu Oct 30, 2008 3:04 am

Is anyone else having framerate issues both online and offline? I'm shocked offline is having an issue for me. Everyone is saying the framerate and graphics are AMAZING, yet I don't see it.

Here is an anolysis on the framerate. It's not really good. can dip down to 20 frames and it's only the early stages of the game

u need to clean up ur ps3 lenss dust, cuz my frame rate is perfect and im running 1080p 32'' HDTV , ps3 settings RGB limited SuperWhite off, Deep Colour Auto, TV settings Vivid ColorMode, IF UR INTERNAL COMPONENTS OF THE PS3 OVER ALL ARE FULL OF DUST U WILL NEVER SEE FRAMERATES AND GRAPHICS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE

I'm trying really hard not to face palm right now... but are you serious?

Can you give a compelling answer for any of the two questions below.

- Why should anyone have to configure settings to make a game look good on a console?
- Why would a build up of dust on the lens affect Crysis 2 but not something like Killzone 3?

I've yet to get my copy of Crysis 2 (I get it today from ShopTo as I'm in the UK). I played the demo I saw the drops in frames but to be honest It didn't bug me that much.

I'm thinking, when you say your frame rate is perfect you haven't played many FPS's on the PC and seen the changes in smoothness over 20, 30, 40,and 60 FPS. If you did, you would be able to see what people are annoyed about.

But I digress... cleaning dust off of your lens is not going to correct the issue on one game and presumably if they had low frames on every game they would have probably surmised that something is wrong.
