Framerate issue while Sniping through Scope

Hi, iam asking what you think the bottleneck on my rig is.

On extreme graphic settings (autodetecting: everything maxed out) i got some framerate issues while sniping through scope.

Usually the game runs fine on 50-60 Fps; while sniping the framerate drops to arround 20 or even less.

Not sure if its an graphic card issue; i switched the antialiasing to off, also anistropic filtering, but there seems to be no effect on the fps.

Rig summary:

  • Intel 4790k (@ 4.590 GHz (45x / 102 bclk))
  • Asus Z97 Deluxe
  • Asus R9 290x (1075 Mhz GPU // Memory 5400 Mhz)
  • Corsair 16Gb Dominator Platinum DDR3-2400 (2x 8) - running at ~2500 or so
  • Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit (6.3, Build 9300)
  • Creative SB Xi-Fi

Radeon crimson 15.11 (mod from Nexus for the bugged compass - .dll Drivers from the previous 15.11.1 Driver)

Is there a benefit on using crossfire (iam on second r9 290x)? Should i get more RAM, or is it an issue with the Software itself.

Thanks in advance

I think it's a universal issue. I get the same thing, usually when there's grass in the view of the scope.
