FRAMERATE ISSUES: Patch IMMEDIATELY needed.

Post » Wed Jan 07, 2009 12:19 pm

God.
The game is so Awesome, and the Multiplayer seems perfect and way improved since the Beta/Demos...

...but, CRYTEK. The Campaign, the most awesome and important part of the game, has VERY serious problem with the framerate. Walking and exploring are ok, but when there are more than 3 enemies on screens everything slows down A LOT, like 15-20fps, and it's really annoying and bad for aiming and playing too.

Please, consider to adjust the 360 Configs with a Patch as soon as possible to keep the framerate stable at least at 25-30fps for the whole game.

It's impossible sometimes playing with this... -_-

P.S.
The game IS installed into the 360 hard-drive while playing...

My Specs:
Xbox 360 Reach Limited - Slim 250GB
HDMI set in 720p from the Dashboard @60Hz

Install the game to your hard drive, and make sure the GPU/CPU are cooled decently.. i.e. airflow.

Already did this, and I'm playing in 720p.
The framerate often drops to 15-20 in combat scenarios...

Dude, it's a 250GB Reach Slim Limited, connected via the official Microsoft HDMI cable.
The game SLOWS DOWN often, and in combat... :(

Same here. Terrible frame rate issues and clunky/unresponsive controlls in single player.

I can't believe it.
Slowdowns are in almost every fight, especially in vehicles.

C'mon men, are you blind? :O

To OP,

Have you tried installing to your HDD?

I've had similar problems with other games (not with this one as of now) and I've installed them to my HDD if things got a little chuggy

I did notice it, but its easily tolerable, and I just shrugged it off and went on with the game. Not sure if patches could ever fix this. At no point did it ever become unplayable or un-aimable for me though, and I did beat the Campaign so yea.

I've noticed them here and there as well. They're not bad, and thankfully quite brief and tolerable in single player. Multiplayer on the other hand seems like it can chug VERY hard sometimes. Sometimes glass smooth, sometimes a little jerky, but sometimes a slide show.

frame rate is stable for me, sometimes in big firefight it slows a bit ( 20 fps) otherwise its working fine.. xbox 360 pro 20gb version old as 4 years lol

cooling is needed, if ur console heats up a lot, framerate drops, it used to happen a lot with Halo 3 gears 2, so on, and then my console got RROD,

so I take extra measure on cooling, open space and dust free , now every games works fine, no more frame rate problem

Yes, I installed to my new Xbox 360 Slim 250GB, and set the dashboard in 720p (in 1080p is even worse), with HDMI connection.

It's really annoying in combat scenarios, cause there is input lag when aiming too...

Yeah I've replayed some early mission's and the frame rate still drops but it definitely better was chugging earlier! Also I could swear the game runs better when playing from the disk.

delete it from hard drive and it will read it better, and performance will be inceased. it's not the game, it's because the game is pulling to much from your 360 to handle from the hard drive try it from the cd instead so it does not have to work twice as hard
