Because i was permanently banned from the Multiplayer part of this game ( after one match ).

Now im scary....

is fraps allowed or not?
im use a old version.

i dont want to get banned again.

I seriously doubt use of Fraps would get oneself banned.

I've been using Fraps since before my join date, after Crysis 2 was just released, and I've never had any trouble. I've also used it with BF3.

Now, because Fraps does capture the framebuffer directly it has to hook some DLLs and system calls. Also when you're using the, say, FPS overlay it also hooks some DirectX DLL functions which could, theoretically, generate a false positive with a game's anti-cheat system. But as I said, I used it with BF3 and BF3 uses Punkbuster and I never experienced any problems.

It would be helpful if you were to describe what exactly you were doing or what your system configuration was in the time frame when you got banned.

I've already used Fraps to see my FPS in-game (The overlay, yes) without any problems. Played like 5 matches or so. So i doubt that's the reason you got banned.

same, i use fraps since the BF3 release day and no bans.
i use also fraps in all other games with anticheats never been banned

crysis 3 was the first game i revived a ban, but today i got unbanned.

ones again, i dont want to get banned again only because i use some older version of fraps

ps: i played the crysis 3 alpha and beta no bans while recoding with fraps....


im not sure whats wrong with this release version.

edit:

warface uses the same anticheat i think ( because the same devs ) and the dev said fraps is not allowed....

so who lie now?

Fraps doesnt give any advantages, gameplay wise or anything. You can use it for every game. Dont worry.
I dont know why you are not allowed to use it in warface, though. if it is true
Maybe one is not allowed to take videos of the gameplay ?!?
