im dieing too play this game soo bad.

I am so excited about the game i had to buy *********** (you didnt think i would advertise some non SP, non Beth game here right ?)
Why i bought it ?

1) I always need some fun FPS to play
2) You can slide tackle people !
3) Movement is not SMART (obviously) but you can move around the map pretty seamlessly as you only start the animation for a jump which is then finished by itself.
4) Funniest special kills ever

I will have finished by the time Brink is out and boy, do i hope this game will take off like a rocket.

If all the clone fps titles have a solid player base then Brink should have one as well if there is any justice in the world.

im watching brink videos and trying to convince my friend that Brink isn't a CoD clone

he thinks it is cause the cinematic trailer....

I will freak out as I put the game in my xbox and not a moment before.

This game is the shooter I've always wanted in terms of feature set. Some of the things that really stand out to me:

1. The character customization is fantastic. I love being someone unique in a game.
2. The ability to build up to 16 different characters in the game with unique abilities, guns, movement, etc... It's RPG features in a FPS and I love the depth.
3. The art style is unique and IMO fantastic.
4. The focus on total teamwork while ignorning everything and anything that produces selfish play.
5. The game being focused on objective multiplayer rather than straight deathmatch.
6. The setting for the game is both fiction yet possible leading to what could be an excellent story. The ability to play through the game from both sides of the battle is amazing as well.
7. SMART movement. I can't tell you how many times I've yelled "WHY AM I F*CKING STUCK ON A ROCK!!? I'M A SUPER SOLDIER AND CAN'T EVEN GET PAST A PEBBLE!!" I've honestly yelled these things so much while playing other FPS games that my friends now make fun of me for it. When I heard Wedgewood say nearly the exact same thing, I laughed my a$$ off.

I'm sure I could go on. But what ties all of the features together are competent programmers (Splash Damage) and intelligence in the coding/design of the game. Many games have touted cool features but then you play it and it's terrible.

Brink looks like the game that comes a rare once in a while that offers something new and yet actually pulls it off.

I hope I get that giddy feeling like when I first uploaded Oblivion :nod:
