That's exactly the problem, it wasn't available to everyone, testing outside the USA didn't even start in earnest until January. Denying all beta testers around the world and many in the USA an equal shot at this pet would not have been fair, it would have just lead to a sense of undeserved self-entitlement to those receiving it.

Now all beta testers can have a shot as this pet and it can be dealt with in a fair and equitable manner. It's still going to be rare and it will still be exclusive, but at least now it's being distributed fairly.

Congratulations! Have been trying to get my neices and nephews to look at military options for years (but not the Army), but their own parents inevitably block the idea.

Nor should it have been. It doesn't matter what the reward is or from where it came. The point is... reward different ones for different things and let it all be unique to that group. No matter if its associated with a beta, CE or preorder.

They should really just stop using the word exclusive frankly. As Septembers monkey was "exclusive" as well, but clearly it was not.

Not really worked up over it. just lessens the reward and makes it less unique for those that thought it was to be so.

They could have at least re-colored it to make it different from the one earlier testers got.

This is also the sort of self-entitlement that I disagree with. It's not everyone that will get it, it's just that everyone now has a chance to get it.

I could agree with the point about making it different so long as that meant that everyone had a different pet but no two groups got both pets, I suppose that could be considered fair also. But I imagine you would not like that because then you would be missing an exclusive that others would be getting.

Thanks. Being an Army vet myself, I was 100% in support of her decision, along with my dad, also Army vet, Vietnam. It is tough for some parents, though. My step-daughter wanted to join, but her dad and his parents were against the idea.

Will they be sending beta invites everyday till this weekend? Cuz I've signed up 2 people on every beta and still haven't received a invite , if I don't get to play beta I will /kill the game so no one can play

Group A - Dwarven Spider + B,C,D

Group B - Mudcrab + C,D

Group C - Monkey + D

Group D - Scuttler

Group A is the only group to receive all of the vanity items. There should be no alleviation in that.

We weren't all that special for getting the monkey in the first place . All we had to do was..nothing, literally. Even if you logged in for like 2 minutes you got it (and I think even if you didn't log in at all you did too!)

Indeed it is and I will, more than likely, be deleting some of them. I simply see such things being handled differently. No matter the item. It's more of a protocol. That is what I see as being the most fair.

I know that's what you meant, you want to be group A that gets everything. I mentioned I would be fine with group A and group B getting different, but exculsive to one another pets as such:

Group A - Dwarven Spider, but no Monkey

Group B - Monkey, but no Dwarven spider

I really like the monkeys. I got a few screenshots of the non pet wild ones last time. It is the only in game creature that l could think l would want as a pet.

I (and I'm sure many others) signed up from the start, and simply because I was unlucky to get the beta I am also somehow uneligible to get the 'exclusive' monkey pet?

I'm sure I'm a bigger fan than atleast ONE of the beta-testers that 'just happened' to get a monkey, and that is somehow fair?

Now, on the other hand ZoS shouldn't be handing these out NOW, because there are so many 'free giveaways' where everyone and their grandma can get a beta-key, so now the game will just be watered down with tons of monkey-pets...even people who aren't 'real fans' and who didn't signup for the beta (signifying their interest in the game) can get it.

In my opinion, they should have just given a monkey to everyone who signed up for the beta 'officially' X time ago (where X can be, for example, from before the first-ever beta)...not whoever got in to the beta at timeX

Then those already have monkey should not recieve that "somethink else" otherwise they would win 2 rewards in row.
They are giving monkey because of rage that it was exclusive to september beta and they won somethink purely on luck without effort.
I have signed up since first day of beta and i got my invite 2 weeks ago. There are alot of people that are like me and when we waited with patience people like worst youtube get such rewards?.
I think they did the best decision with monkey. Because now, even if they are not invited they can find keys from giveaways

You aren't necessarily chosen into a particular group by sheer luck. But essentially... yes, you are ineligible, IMO.

They have two, because they were part of another beta. They were selected earlier than others due to a questionnaire and not the draw from a hat.

It was a draw from a hat exclusively (or almost) to one region of the world. Don't claim it to be otherwise to try and lend some credibility to your argument, at least be honest that it would have been completely arbitrary and random to include just the September 3 hour stress test players.

I dont think thats bad, i got my monkey also, but it was a bit unfair for other Beta Tester.
