Free training exploit lol

I just found this out while having Faendal in my party. You have your follower teach you a skill, so for Faendal it's archery. Then you trade gear and take your gold back. Voila, free skill advancement. Interesting.

I fail to see how this is an exploit. You still "pay" for trainer by giving them gear.

Nevermind, I get it now. My bad :P

okay? nobody asked you that nor did anyone accuse you of cheating. Also, I never said I intentionally did it myself. I just saw gold and clicked then I realized that earlier I had taken 500 from him etc etc. But this is the cheat section of the boards, so if you didn't want to cheat why did you click on the thread topic? Another question/point I would like to ask/make is if your willpower is that low to where you feel the need to cheat when buying PC versions?

This isn't a personal attack but a serious question. Some people really do buy console versions so that they don't cheat.

I figured that out with Farkas a while back but haven't done it since. I'm trying to play through the game with no exploits or blacksmithing / enchanting spam with my first character and having a blast. Still can't wait to make my God Mode 2 handed orc some day though.

I stumbled across this myself during my first playthrough. As far as I'm concerned, it isn't really cheating, as a loyal companion and good friend shouldn't charge you. After all, seeing as I'm constantly saving Faendal's life, even if he was fickle he would at the least see it as repaying a debt. Then again, I AM the one leading him to his doom countless times a week... Actually if I was him I'd charge my character double.

Yea I went to my friends house today and watched him play on his Orc warrior. He's got blacksmithing / enchanting maxed with every item stacked with 2 hand weapon damage. It was rediculous to watch how he tore through everything even on Master difficulty.

This is the cheat, hint, and spoiler section not just the cheat section so don't assume I came here just for cheats. I never said that I feel I need pc games to cheat, I was saying that If I did want to cheat I would get the pc version because it's much easier with console commands.btw, I don't care if nobody asked me, this is the forums where people give their opinions.

You're allowed to give your opinion, but you obviously know there are cheats being discussed in this section, so don't complain / write negative comments because you don't like cheats. If you feel the need to post you should add something useful, or at least feign interest instead of giving people grief.

I have to agree. You sound elitist like you have to prove something to those who do cheat. I don't intentionally cheat but I also don't feel the need to defend myself and when you come in with an attitude of pride you put yourself above others who might want to play the game differently. Also, if the OP never asked you that question then it is considered spam because it is off topic. So yup, there ya go.
