Has anyone found a way to get into the railroad without having to openly support Synths? My character is pure Brotherhood, not only would it be out of character for him but Danse also seems to hate any option I pick with Deacon.

A related question; I have the Follow Freedom Trail quest in my journal, but when I click it, there's no marker or further info on where to go other than 'continue to follow freedom trail'. Usually this means I'm missing something painfully obvious, but I can't figure it out.
engriffi: You can follow the trail which can be frustrating as you pick it up (a red line on the pavement), lose it, pick it up, lose it.
Or you can go directly to the last stage (North Church), find the underground passage, and complete the quest that way.
You don't have to openly support Synths since, well, the Railroad doesn't.
Because if they did, the Institute would track them down and kill them.
The Railroad is incredibly paranoid about Big Brother watching them.
They have passwords, callsigns, spy speak, and hidden safe houses.
Ok, how about this "Has anyone found a way to get into the railroad without having to support Synths?". Is there a way to give the prototype doodad to the brotherhood instead?
Ah, no.
The Railroad is all about the Synths.
I know, but Is there a better more Brotherhood way to go about getting to the institute? Cause from what I can tell it seems that there are multiple paths to the institute. This being one, and Piper/Valentine being another.
I'm stuck at Haymarket Mall where the supermutant keeps one shotting me. or his dog munches my face off as i reload
guess i will get lucky one day
Well double check with the Brotherhood to see if they can do anything with the Courser chip.
