Any one else having issues with there x box freezing since the update patch, I know for me its the patch if I remove the update my game works fine, then if I reinstall it freezes again, and is this just happening on the new slim consoles or is this happening on the old design as well?

I am! I think ill try unloading the patch. I have the new console, actually the halo reach.

the path to do this for any one that is having this issue and doesn't already know how to and wants to try this is x box blade-settings-system settings-memory-y-clear system cache- then you need to select not to update game (note this will log you out of x box live)

I know what you mean it is upsetting that a patch to fix cheat glitches make the game unplayable but I'm glad it worked for you :foodndrink: and lets just hope there is a patch on the way to fix there patch cause its just not the same playing and not chatting to your friends in a party

I too am having difficulties. My game had worked just fine but if I dare venture too far from the town I am currently in my game freezes; it did it six times in a row. Now that's what I call consistency!

If this started after the update that is probably the issue, since i removed the update I've been playing for about three hours and no problems, before I'd plaY FOR ABOUT 5-10 seconds if i traveled it froze if i used vats it froze, so are any of you on the old style x boxes or just the new slim models?

I have the same problems as you after the "update" and I'm on an old style x box. I hope there will be a patch to fix the patch... but for now, your solution is the best to get rid of the problem, thank you!

Regarding the VATS freezing problem, you might try these workarounds. Works for some people... the first one in particular.

I am on the slim

Downloaded the patch yesterday afternoon and played for awhile, and did start to get some freezing... luckily only a couple times. Sort of at random places, too. Only other thing I noticed since the download was some freaky NPC behavior; for example, in a room with beds in the Hoover Dam, several NPCs getting into bed, immediately getting up walking a few steps then getting back in to bed, repeating for as long as I watched them.
