freezing during dragon fights

Post » Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:04 am

if i fight a dragon face to face and the dragon shouts at me, my computer will lock up. not even crash to desktop. just locks up and i have to flip the power button just to to a restart because i cannot get out of the lock. any one experience this. i have 2 xfx gtx 260 black edition in sli mode. running windows 7 with six gigs of ram and in Intel 920 quad core CPU. any help would be awesome even if you have the same problem.

Well...if you get a freeze only in that situation, it could be a GPU overheating. I assume you haven't any mod's related to dragons.

What if you lower you resolution quite a lot. (I would say 1280x720 would be nice)

Have you looked at the Event viewer. ????

the site says my gpu can handle 105 c. maybe at that split second tho you could be right it could be too much. the only mod i have installed for graphics is the free one with high resolution texture pack. maybe it send my system over the top. how do i see the even viewer? ill try the disabling of the mod and if it still crashes lower the graphics.

Don't disable the mod. I have the same mod. It's the High Resolution Texture pack. I don't thing that something is wrong with the texture pack.

Either way try to lower the resolution, or go to 3D settings -> Set SLI configuration -> Do not use SLI technology (at the right panel)
