I got Fallout 3 and I can't get past the "walk to daddy" part without it freezing, the sound is going in the backround but nothing else works.

System specs are:
Graphics Card: Radeom 6850
RAM:4 GB
Processor: Intel Core I3-2100 CPU@3.10 GHZ

i'm having the exact problem. i've got the 2 disc GOTY edition, and i get lucky sometimes where it goes long enough without freezing but freezes up again later. i keep opening task manager and it says the game is not responding so i end task. everytime i reopen it i save almost every minute so i can keep going past the freezing problem, but it makes the game damn near unplayable. i've been looking desperately for a similar claim or problem, i thought i was the only one!
