Freezing on splash screen

Post » Sun Jan 30, 2011 6:59 pm

This has happened twice to me now, I don't know why, I've had to just re-install the game.

Over steam. :|

Although, it seems that I'm alone in this.

Anyone else getting any bugs or errors in which you're frozen at the Crysis eye splash screen? Or is it just me?

Oh, dude, there's a way to get to the actual game when experiencing this?

My friend has the exact same issue from the Steam download version; he says that he puts it in windowed mode, which starts it up fine, then he puts it back into fullscreen. He has to do this every time he starts up the game.

Eh, it doesn't actually freeze... it starts after something like 30 seconds.

This is true in most cases. I thought it froze when I first launched Crysis 2, but it would appear as though there are some people who get stuck on it for upwards of 5 minutes. That's what I was discussing in my post; thus, if the OP is experiencing this, he should attempt at the fix I suggested. If not, then 30 seconds isn't long enough to warrant an uninstall / reinstall.

I should press CTRL+ALT+SUPP then open task manager (when the eye appear, i already waited for 2 min, and nothing happened), after that this will lauch ... i already had freeze in game or at launch in beta, and to make it continue is by this way ...

it can take a while to load if you have a small hard drive or it is near full, if your on a laptop most laptop drives spin at a rate of 5400 rpm with a 30 mbps data transfer speed where as a desktops hard drive can spin at 7200 rpm with a data transfer of 60 mbps, so if you just leave it and wait (i know you may be eager to playz :D) but that is teh best thing you can do, also sometimes when a application goes into fullscreen it can mess with other applications and fill your ram with crashed data files ect ect, so before opening the game close any anti viruses you have firewalls or loose processes off. if you need further assistans PM me and i will try to help you out.
