I love New Vegas. My experience is a lot better than most it seems, as I can play for at least 5 hours before the game freezes (requiring a hard restart of the console), and overwriting saves doesn't seem to give me any issues. However, due to the fact that even after two patches you can't swing a dead cat without it glitching off somewhere or otherwise hitting a bug that disrupts your game experience, I will never (EVER) buy a Bethesda or Obsidian game again, in my life. I love (and own) Morrowind GOTY edition, Oblivion with a number of add-ons, Fallout 3 (with Broken Steel and Point Lookout), and Fallout: New Vegas. However, due to the absolute disregard for customer satisfaction and a smooth play experience, and overall developer laziness and incompetence as well as lack of support and customer-developer communication, as well as the fact that the developers won't admit what a huge mistake they made, I find it all entirely unacceptable. I was truly looking forward to Skyrim, but I have a feeling as soon as I open the case, the disk will either disintegrate or explode. It's not clear whether the blame lies with Bethesda, Obsidian, or both, but I know I'm going to play it safe and discontinue my support of both companies. Maybe my 11/11/11 11:11 wish will be that Bethesda can become a respectable RPG company again. It'll either come true, with Skyrim being hugely successful and a wonderful game, in which case I will purchase it later, after release and reviews...or it will not, and I will watch with a heavy heart as Bethesda crumbles into the ground like so many before it. And I will know that its death was inevitable when it failed to maintain the right to continue its existence. That right is earned by...well, not doing what they did with New Vegas.
