I have also been awaiting your faces. I love them and every time I find one of your releases I add it to my game. Please keep them coming. Especially the Nords.

If there were a couple you were particularly interested in just let me know as they can go into the pack.

I would REALLY love to have all of the Dunmer faces/hairs. They're amazing.

And all of the Altmer heads/hairs too...

...And everything else you have done on this...

But if I had to choose just one race it'd be the Dunmer.

Oh man, I hope this gets released soon. I need a good female redguard hair right now for one of the NPC's in my mod - and these look absolutely fantastic. :)

Have been doing some work on Males - have finally completed the Imperial Males and Breton males - well at least the draft faces - I normally like to play with them a little while to make sure the faces fit

I haven't taken a lot of screenshots however here is some of the Imperial Males - using a standard Rhedd mesh

http://a.imageshack.us/img829/7792/im06.jpg

And a http://a.imageshack.us/img594/2659/br08.jpg

I've still got the Nord males to do Imperial male hair, Nord Male hair 9am quietly nagging Mandamus to do me some male hairs but expect in a few months I'll teach myself blender and have a go myself) and a few touchups to the other races - as a pluginless replacer it works fine - well at least for me - I know my style and choice of faces doesn't suit many

Here's a small vid showing some of the early game locals Seyda Neen and Balmora - http://img839.imageshack.us/i/faces.mp4/ - thanks to Darknut for the music and Vurt's scenic additions

Impressive video, Illuminiel, and great work here :· Waiting for this replacer, the faces looks incredibly real.

I have a request, perhaps it's too late, but I have to try ^ ^; Chris Bale as imperial or dunmer?

Surely Arrielle must have sold out of Avlon by now? Only joking, looks great, it's just my pet peeve about relaxed hair in morrowind talking. Go for it with Blender, you won't regret it(it's free afterall) well, maybe you might once you realise how much time you can waste on it :D

Avlon? Do you mean Avon as in the cosmetics? I think he specialises in restore potions :)

Ren's hair is not for everyone - and if used with the wrong face it can look out of place - however in her defence when I played ME1 the thing I really hated about each game was not the long boring Mako treks it was the plastic doll hair - I couldn't believe that they textured the hair so badly compared to what Ren or Mandamus could achieve for Morrowind

For the elves I don't mind the longer silky hair as I'm so used to art that depicts them that way - the Imperials, and Nord males I mostly want to get a more chunky look - however there really isn't a lot of meshes available to work with that suit the high res style faces I tend to do and I'm not going to settle for an older plastic look

I have aimed to give unique hair styles for each race so far and have been looking at the original faces and hairs to match age and style where I can - the bosmer women have longer hair than the Dunmer women whereas the Dunmer males mostly have short hair compared to my Altmer who have longer hair - for the redguard males I have used mylochka's hair and retexured it myself, to get a more closely cropped warrior look - I suspect I will need to learn blender in order to add some variety.

As I'm aiming for a pluginless replacer anyone who wants the faces will be able to swap out the hairs for one's they prefer

How else could the redguards get such hair? You're right though these are fictional people and you can tell your own story about what they look like, and elves aren't even human are they? But because they look as they do seeing redguards with straightened hair always screams "2002!" at me(no idea why I picked that year )

I too, never got what everyone's problem with the mako was, the cannons were awesome! I should finish that game sometime

Oh yes hairs are great to start out Blender on, as it doesn't have to be very good, and you can really cover up any flaws with the alpha as long as the UV mapping is done right. If you just want variety you can get good results combining pieces. http://img815.imageshack.us/img815/9968/mgescreenshot2.png was one of the first things I did with Blender, I couldn't find hair similar to mine so I attached a ponytail off a different mesh to the closest looking one. Now it's beyond recognition but originally it was just that- chopped off tall pig tail uptop and stuck on a pony- hey presto, totally original!(or not)

Have you thought about using Phaedrus' moving eyes?

I love that Nord Male screenshot. I just reinstalled Morrowind on my laptop and was actually thinking of playing a Nord for my next character.

I tried him as a Nord - I can see if i can achieve a one off version for you in the other races - http://a.imageshack.us/img96/8837/nomh04.jpg

Here's some of my first attempt using Rhedds mesh for Nord male faces

http://a.imageshack.us/img251/3049/nomh01.jpg
http://a.imageshack.us/img412/1808/nomh02.jpg
http://a.imageshack.us/img27/4688/nomh03.jpg
http://a.imageshack.us/img96/8837/nomh04.jpg
http://a.imageshack.us/img441/7193/nomh05.jpg
http://a.imageshack.us/img715/4357/nomh06.jpg
http://a.imageshack.us/img714/142/nomh07.jpg
http://a.imageshack.us/img835/1667/nomh08.jpg

I haven't done too much woad paint as it was a bit hard trying to make it look decent - Westly I'm sure will end up doing terrific versions of Woad painted Nords - I just wanted some rugged looking men with lots of character

The original Nord hairs remind me of 80's rockers really big hair - I've just dropped some placeholders in for now - the original hairs fit the meshes okay but it looks a bit sad to see a photorealistic face mixed with low res hair - in game I use Darknut's high res textures for armour and clothes along with a load of texture replacers and mge so my faces fit in okay - I think if they were used on their own - they would look pretty odd - however I like them and will be happy to share later on

I still have the Imperial male hairs to do - a couple of Bosmer males and 16 more Dunmer male hairs and some testing to make some face adjustments - some need touching up others need redoing completely - now that I have at least a hundred faces behind me I tend to want to clean up my earlier ones instead of just letting them go as is

Um thanks to all who have made comments so far - and apologies if anyone was waiting for a particular face and got bored waiting - it took me a long time to move onto the male faces and unless i'm trying pretty hard to not make them look they are cardboard cutouts, however I can finally see a finish line for this so that's promising

Thanks for reading

Illy

I have but one request.... Do Enya. Oh please, oh please, oh please!

It would be so awsome :mohawk:

the most awsome "breton?" Ever :3

Edit:
Have you thought about using Phaedrus' moving eyes?

THAT would compliment the photorealism of your work perfectly. It's hard to think of any other way to really improve on it besides maybe a greater abundance of meshes.

Thanks for the bump Chainy :)

Since that time I was collaborating with mandamus on some new hairs for males - he managed a few new ones for me but since then he's been very busy in RL - however I was hoping I might squeeze a couple more hairs out of him before release - I'll touch base with him again and see if he can do a couple more specific ones I need like a mohawk (necessary for the solve the murder case in Balmora) and another imperial ponytail or two.

I need to finish the vamp faces - had started down a path of giving them opaque eyes then after doing http://img822.imageshack.us/f/lightsoff.jpg/ eyes decided to go more with that look.

I've been mainly working on dialogue for Veloth's Child so haven't touched the faces for a while - they have been on my mind though :)

Bretons and Altmers are released on PES - I need to beg someone for a better Mohawk before the Dunmer go live - maybe the Nords or Imperials will be the next pack

Am finally getting around to the Vamps

here's a draft http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/7002/demv.png - have tried for a more diseased look
edit: And the http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/2638/defvd.png - trying for a very subtle double lidded eye - but likely far too subtle for in game when one's careening towards the player
edit #2: Here's the http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/9950/wemv.png - trying for a bruised look around his eyes, having some issues with the female getting the right look well any look tbh

Thanks Dragon_Lance - i haven't released the imperials in a seperate pack yet - should get onto that - as sometimes this feels like the mod that never gets done

If anyone is interested this is how they look http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Videos.Detail&id=169
