Fresh, Unmodded Skyrim, CTD After 15 Minutes : V

Windows 10

I launch Skyrim, and even if I just hang at the start screen where it asks to start a new game, etc, then I crash after 15 minutes. This happens every.single.time I launch the game.

I have re-installed the game completely, and the issue still persists.

I've tried with and without mods.

This didn't happen prior to upgrading from Vanilla Skyrim to Legendary edition.

I've tried launching the game with mods, such as unofficial patches, and no matter what I try the result is the same.

My papyrus log has no indicators as to what caused the crash other than the fact that VM is freezing, VM is frozen.

System Specs:

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, 16GB Ram

Nvidia GTX 780 video card, 3GB Ram

i7 950 CPU

I've read that this could be caused by overheating, but again I am only at the menu and crash after 15 minutes every time. Same happens if I enter a new game or load existing. No matter what I do, crash. Have also monitored both CPU & GPU temps, neither of which ever get to high levels.

This error appears when the game tries to load a requested script, but the file for it cannot be found. Double-check that the pex file is in the appropriate folder (Data/Scripts).

Also if it is a DLC script (it says dlc1 or dlc2) then Bethesda decided to remove the script but forgot to remove it's reference on some form or other script. USKP may have corrections for those.

Sort your load order, and clean your DLC's with LOOT.

You followed a clean reinstall procedure? This involves manual deletion of the SKyrim directory after you remove local content.

I would recommend you delete and let the game remake the ini files as well.
