Hey i was wondering if anyone had any insight on a built in friends list? Or will we have to use steam and Xfire?

Having a built in one would be great! But i'll understand if there isn't.

IMO steam for PC is enough for me to use for my friends list. It really is annoying to have to check 2 lists to see if any friends are on so I hope it just uses steam or whatever.

Yeah but they are not focusing steam on us are they? I know you can, cause i've per-ordered on steam. But i believe that you don't need steam.

As far as I know, if a game is designed for steam, it has to run through steam. That's pretty much the whole point to using steam, they get a portion of your sales, but they take care of security for you.

There are games that you can run with steam and there are games that you can buy in steam but they don't run through steam.. E.G. you can have CSS and it needs steam. But you can have a game like overload where you can use steam but you don't need to.

I hope that it needs steam! Cause that will make it much easier IMO.

Brink is going to be using VAC, so it will need to run through steam. Since its running through steam, you can expect to be using the steam friends list.

oh really! Awesome that's great to know! Well VAC is ok but i hope they do a better job with controlling hacks then they did on CSS...

But i love the fact that we will be using steam!

Sorry fellas this post is dead now.
