Perhaps Skyrim will feature Frogs in Swamps and Gators in Swamps.

Perhaps it won't have swamps because we're in an arctic landscape. :whistling:

It's pretty cold in Skyrim, you know. Hardly tropical. I doubt there will be much, if any, in the way of amphibious life (excluding argonians who have amphibian traits) or reptiles (excluding dragons and argonians again).

I'm pretty sure the only frogs you'll come across in Skyrim will be frozen under a rock, hibernating... <_<

Are you saying that "Skyrim" will be the only land for my character to explore in the game???

No one ever said there would be swamps. . . although that would have been really cool. The next TES better be set in a Louisianan style swamp landscape. That would be awesome!

Tis the title of the game my naive friend. You're thinking about Red Dead Redemption.

The Japanese Salamander thrives in the icy waters of northern Japanese mountains. It is highly probable for amphibians to survive in winter climates, while I doubt they'll put that detail in, I would not be surprised to hear the chirping of frogs near lowland bodies of water.

True, there are some amphibians in cold areas, but not as common, and I agree it's unlikely the detail will be in. Alligators are even less likely.

Arctic marshes aren't like what the OP imagines, they lack frogs and gators... So my point still stands.

Hah, I hope if we eat/svck said frozen frog we magically get cured of all sickness.

Edit - And let's not lie to ourselves people. We've seen frost versions of everything in past games before. Frost dragons, frost spiders, frost cubes that jump around kinda like frogs, frost bats....it goes on and on.

Damnit, I knew someone would bring that up!

While there is an exception, by and large frogs and gators would be immensely out of place in Skyrim, considering they want a norse theme. I really doubt frogs made the cut when the devs were deciding what creatures to include.
