From 1-10, how satisfied are you with the info?

Post » Wed Jul 28, 2010 3:43 pm

I voted for 7.5.

Negative things:I'm really afraid about dual-wielding weapons (or some kind of spells?). There hasn't been dual-wielding in TES games, right? Also Fallout style "level perks" are thing that I don't want to Skyrim. The OB's skills perks (when you get skill to 50, example) were good enough. The cooking/mining/woodcutting sounds weird, but they can be made well (maybe you could build your own house)? No information about fast travel system.

Positive things: Great graphics. It's good to see something fresh since Fallout 3. Improved AI and faces. Conversations with NPC improved. (Overall graphic and realism improved).

I hope that Bethesda will announce what 3 skills will be removed and inform about fast travel system.

I can guarantee mysticism is gone. I'd also be willing to bet that athletics and acrobatics got merged. Not sure on the other though.

8.5. Critical about even less skills, but optimistic about the new UI direction, and the graphics look really nice. Also, svcker for dual-wield and open character concepts.

I voted 9. Loved pretty much everything.

Character models, full customization, perks, dual wielding spells and weapons, conversations, dragon shouts etc.

Also the whole realistic look fits the game perfectly. Love that picture with cliff and waterfalls and that building on the ground.

I'll give it 10 once they put screens on their website to see them in full glory.

The game was announced a month ago... And everyone are jumping to conclusions too quickly. So I gave it a 9 as well since I did like most of the info.

This and honestly I'm still not sure how I feel about the new menus, but other than that loving TES V so far :D

Honestly I'm currently at 7.5. There's a lot of good stuff in there that I'm really stoned for. But I just help but feel my heart sink at three less skills, reduced focus on attributes, and a more perk based system. No classes is a big one too. Maybe I'm oldschool, but I liked having that class to start out, rather than a blank slate. Plus I liked being referred to by my class, almost as a job description (in MW at least). It almost sounds like they're dealing more towards that indecisive crowd, that don't really think about what they're doing, or who they are ingame. I was hoping to be rewarded for focussing more, but from what I've seen that won't be the case. I'm sincerely hoping I'm wrong on most of this, and I'm sure Skyrim will still blow my mind. Maybe as more info is released my fears will be relieved, after all it's still early days and I'm probably just jumping to pessimistic conclusions. Still, 7.5 is where I currently sit.

8.5-(9) (possibly 9 while making this post)

The info was satisfying, but i am still a bit sceptical about the level-scaling and fast-travel, otherwise i was completely fine with the information i have read/seen.

IMO The Elder Scrolls needed a change and they delivered it.

7.5

The stupid rule about not being allowed to post scans is keeping my score from being higher. I haven't even seen any screenshots.

Hey, why don't I have a 9.25 option? What a ripoff!

No, just kidding. I'll give it a 9. Generally, I'm happy to get any information. And I'm less averse to changes in the game than many - I have played and enjoyed each of the main TES titles besides Arena and all of them rate highly for me, in part because they are all so different from each other. Very little about the information provided makes me apprehensive, though some of it sounded as if it promised too much - and I'm wary of that when it has happened before in marketing past Beth games.

Hard to say game shots never look too great in magazines, especially scans of magazines and games always look better in motion.

Therefore I would like to see some gameplay footage or even some direct high quality screenshots of the game and UI before deciding.

10.

No HUD, better animations and 3rd person view, WEATHER EFFECTS WITH COLLISION (:D), way better character models, much more realistic conversations (no zoom, continued NPC actions while talking, wider range of facial expressions, automatic pop-up dialogue, etc.), beards, much more realistic flowing water... and those are only the ones I'm most excited about. :D

10 - Bethesda has not let me down yet, and judging by the scans they are not about to start now... :foodndrink:

9.5, I'm actually super satisfied because I was just talking to my brother about all the things I wanted in the game, and they seem to have put in everything I wanted, even the things I was almost sure they wouldn't, like cooking, farming, tundra and children.

I'm at 9. A lot of the information I really liked, but some things (just a few) gave me some worries, otherwise it would've been a 10.

9.0 for me, I am really excited to see how the game plays out and I think most of the new elements of the game sound good. The only thing I would like to hear about now is if loot and items are scaled again, will we be stuck with iron and steele only at the beginning levels or are there oppurtunities to find unique items at any time.

A dev confirmed that scaling was more like Fallout 3. That would imply that there are unique and varied items placed by hand throughout the world, it was so in F3.

All I want to know is who goes and gets a copy early somehow, then only scans half the pages, and does a piss-poor job of it at that? What gives?

lol, "DRAGUNS AND DOOL WELDING" made me chuckle

but yeah, it kinda worries me that bethesda havent addressed key issues with oblivion, and that they kinda have a "we know best, theyll still buy it" attitude

What issues exactly?

3.5

There's just too much implications of streamlining, for me to handle. Maybe when the next patch of info is revealed.....
