
Two questions:
1) Does Thomas have a "Welcome to Frostcrag Spire" dialog? If not, any chance of adding one? When I showed up he had no reaction, just a standard greeting and a Mage's guild rumor. Something like "Welcome! The Master told me you'd be coming to take over. I am Thomas, your major domo. There's much to be done, but I will help you in any way that I can" would be enough. Just enough to let me know who he is and what he's doing there.
Um, if his lack of any dialog is a bug, please ignore the above.
2) Is there a way in the mod (as opposed to the construction set) to restore more of the Alchemy garden? The waterfall is very cool, and there are some ingredients on the landings, but I miss Frostcrags old one stop shopping gardens. Or am I just rushing, and the garden can be restored later?
As far as balance is concerned, super-tough enemies aren't as much of a worry as all the free weapons and armor when you first get the place. I liked the quest related items and useful furniture (like the Orb of Intelligence or the Alchemy Station); I just don't feel like I did anything to earn the two magic swords or the high powered amulet. I'd rather find them later on enemies. For that matter, I never though my character did anything to earn the ring of the sorcerer in the original vanilla Frostcrag Spire.
