Frozen Vampires

Post » Tue Feb 22, 2011 2:53 am

I was reading the in game book Immortal Blood and I'd love to see them actually include the Volkihar. Apparently they can freeze the blood of their prey and live beneath the frozen lakes of Skyrim. Wouldn't that be awesome, stumbling upon an ancient frozen lake, deeming it innocent and striding across only to have your leg grabbed from beneath the ice and a horde of Vampires attack you?

I don't think the Volkihar will be the only clan. They are from Eastern Skyrim, there is no other clan mentioned so theres room to add more.

As for the Cyrodiilic vampires, they gotta return and kick ass as "Manifesto Cyrodiil Vampyrum" and "Immortal Blood" says they do.

From the book, it implies that there are other clans in Skyrim because he said the Volkihar are the most powerful clan.

The werewolves are Meh for me. I don't really care whether or not we can be one, but that doesn't mean I don't want to slay them. What I think would be great is if Beth made some sort of mechanic that recorded the kills you made of certain beasts and the people of Tamriel reacted accordingly. They might say, "Oh, there goes the famous vampire slayer!" or, "Don't see many Trolls about with the Dovakin around!"

Yes but it would be incredibly hard to do. How would you defend yourself from the grabbing? If possible I'd like it in and they should make it scary as all heck! :cold:

But above all WE should be able to grab people through the ice > go under the ice!

Muahahahahahah! :chaos:

I like werewolves alot. I mean, I love vampires, but since werewolves weren't in Oblivion, i'm hoping they would be in Skyrim. But both are equally awesome. I can never play an ES as a normal character, they HAVE to be infected with Lycanthropy or vampirism.

I agree. Most powerful in Skyrim, not Tamriel.

Well that was said in the context of clans in Skyrim. We all know that the Cyrodiilic vampires are the most powerful. They were the only kind that wasn't killed by the vampire hunter :celebration:

And the only Clan in Cyrodiil, meaning they don't take no **** from the other clans in their Province.

If Volkihar and the other clans in SKyrim are in, would definetly choose the Volkihar, unless the Cyrodilic vampires are in.

Yes. The Nine clans in Illiac Bay fought each other, but had a few allegiances. Morrowind's three clans, the Quarra, the Berne and the Aundae all fought each other, they were rivals. And Cyrodiil has one Clan, their names were lost in history but they call themselves the Order. Based by the books and the fact that they are the only Clan in Cyrodiil means they are very competitive and do not like other clans.

Read Manifesto Cyrodiil Vampyrum: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Manifesto_Cyrodiil_Vampyrum

Shows that no matter how elightened and civilized another clan may be, the Order still considers them enemies to be wiped out.

EDIT: I think you meant if other clans go into other provinces. Well, I don't know about that. But it's likely since the Whet Feng can pose a threat to the Order. Also, they said they made Cyrodiil their home "As of the Third Era", meaning they probably invaded and removed any other vampire clan in Cyrodiil.

Think they'll put in vampires hunter factions?

... In the West, a shadowy fraternity of vampire hunters is believed to be primarily composed of formerly afflicted vampires who have been cured of the disease. According to legend, the Vampire Hunters refuse to reveal the cure to the disease for fear that it may encourage depraved thrill seekers from deliberately infecting themselves.

Well if Vampires are in Skyrim at all, let alone clans, I highly doubt you will have your pick of which clan to join. It would be awesome but I don't see Bethesda putting that much time in. Their to busy working on a cooking mini-game to keep some players interested instead of working on an awesome Vampire storyline. <_<

Well the Cyrodiilic vampires used to have rival vampire clans but they eliminated the rest of the competition due to their ability to assimilate into society.

That could be one of the reasons. I mean, they could easily manipulate politicians and people to kill off other vampires. Like what Seridur did in Oblivion. Thanks to Clavicus Vile, they can walk in daylight. No one can expect they are vampires, which is what gives them the edge over the other Clans.

It can be done, but I don't know if it will in the game.

Are you saying we should be able to walk out during the daytime? That would be kind of cheap

I don't want to be Wesley Snipes! :teehee:

I want to be dark and evil!

Like NOT Edward! :lmao:

1.Hell, The Grey Prince Agronak-Gro Malog is a hybrid Orc/vampire, that's as close to Blade as you can get.

2. Vampires in Oblivion CAN walk in the day if they fed recently, it's part of the pact with Clavicus Vile. But do they like walking during the day? No, the tenets of the Cyrodilic vampires tell them to "Avoid daylight by lifestyle". For cyrodilic vampires to reach their most powerful state, they must starve themselves, but in turn, they are vulnerable to fire and are known as vampires(Which is against their law). That's the pact, either have one thing or not

3.Vampires are NOT evil. They feed on people, but so does natural predators. You wouldn't call Janus Hassildor evil, would you?
