(At the time of writing, Game Informer still has not released a review)
Everyone been hyping this game (most likely, Good Advertising Budget) and for good reason, each to his own first of all, ive read quite a few reviews today, i do not agree with most of them at all.
First, it sounds like they heard about a new shooter than you could run on walls, naturally, they were expecting CoD. Maybe some people need to just get it through their skull, its NOT in any way a call of duty game or even related, ONLY in the fact that it is simply a first person shooter (and its only an FPS because we must have some categorization for games), if we didnt call it an fps, we would find another way to relate it to cod. Ok cod revolutionized online gaming for speed, tactics, and exploition, perks, and one HELL of an fps rate(frames per second). its a gem in time, that i can safely say. Now that we have these expectations of cod games, we now expect every game to just be a mod of cod. there are sites for that, go there if you want another cod so badly reviwers, take this game for what it is, BRINK is a feature freaks dream, beautiful graphics (PC for me), super easy to get all the guns and customize them to how you want like right away, the challenges offer a great break from constant multiplayer, though i do agree only a few modes is a bit weak, to make up for that, release an SDK, (i dont know the devs situation, though i see it as an alternative answer). Overall, i had an absollte blast with the game, it was fun, which is what games are meant to be, its not as competative. it reqrds you for hanging out in the game with your team. I really like the game. it got too harshly reviewed i feel, take a step back, and def just play the game, maybe its just me because I got the pc version, heard lots of lag problems, but its not been too bad really.
I still highly recommened the game, its fun, different, a break from the old cod, halo, or whatever else is not completly milked out yet =P.
