FTR2...lame!

So...after spending months getting the BoS and boomers and others on my side...I can't complete "For the Republic 2"? I have already recruited both the BoS and Boomers to my side, but the female NCR officer at Hoover (don't know her name, at this point) asks me to "handle" the BoS. They are allready handled!! They are ready to fight, as well as the Boomers, against Ceaser's Legion. BUT...this quest seems boned up as I can't just tell her that I have already made friends with the BoS? I have no way of repeating the quest "still in the dark" ( I think) to gain BoS allegiance for the NCR ( which I have already done!!!).

AFAICT this game is full of glitches related to finishing the main quest? I'm pretty much over it, after all this effort, y'know? It's one thing to find a bug...it's another to spend months playing...and THEN find a bug which negates almost everything you have accomplished.

I bought the X-Box because I was tired of dealing with PC game glitches...S-I-G-H. I wonder if my PS2 is still around somewhere?

I don't think it's a bug. Have you talked to the Elder since Moore gave you this quest?

As long as you have left the original elder in command of the BoS, go talk to him once more about setting aside their differences with the NCR to deal with the Legion.

Still in the Dark is not a necessary component of for the Republic, if you want them to ally with the BoS it is, but it requires you GO BACK and talk to Elder McNamara. Its no different then the Boomers you have to be asked to make them allies before that option comes up.

OK, I see your points...I may even have to go back to the Boomers (I got their "allegiance" as an independent, not for the NCR). The problem I'm having is that Elder McNamara keeps telling me he's "sorry outsider, but I will be busy preparing to lift the lockdown". I have no option to ask for an allegiance? It's been 2 weeks, at least ("game time"), and his message has not changed?

Never mind. After reading other posts on the bug regarding how one does the "Still in the dark" quest (not quite sure but talking to Hardin, at some unknown point, screws the entire For The Republic 2 completion possibilities).
Guess I'm starting over.
