Going back over fo3 scared me at first. Cause Not that many things want to kill you as much as fallout 3. Every 2 inchs there's something that wants to eat you in fo3.

Cheers

new vegas is boring and thats why game sales tanked immediately after it came out and they had to give the game away for 20 dollars cause it wasn't selling very well. its not a popular game.

You really get mad seeing people like NV, dont'cha? :)

The two highlighted "facts" are loads of stinking [censored]. Please, go back and enjoy... whatever that is that you enjoy.

obsidian doesn't know how to make an open world game...the game world is way too empty, no buildings to explore or fight in, there isn't anything remotely random in the game, nothing respawns, its all scripted, there's no exploration cause there's isn't anything to explore, 99% of the map is empty, almost no human enemies to fight. its not a fluid and dynamic game world, its very static.
I can agree that it could have used more dynamic changes but other than that:
Obsidian didn't care for making a exploration/dungeon crawl game.
Don't look at it like that, it isn't a Bethesda game, it's an Obsidian game.
If you don't like it being story heavy over exploration and combat heavy then it's not for you.
Doesn't mean it's bad or boring in factual terms. Just means the game isn't something you personally enjoyed.

Game is fun and I'm definitely enjoying it, but I can't say I'm "fulfilled." I needz moar! It's lacking a few things. Playing hardcoe mode certainly helps, but more sandbox elements would turn this from a good game to a great game--without compromising its great story, I should add.

Love the music too. Find myself pausing long enough to enjoy the ambience. Eh, maybe I'm a little weird, finding solace in an apocalyptic wasteland.

Let me help....
obsidian doesn't know how to make an open world game...the game world is way too empty,
Translation: I actually don’t know what a wasteland is.

no buildings to explore or fight in
Translation: There aren't random buildings of monsters/loot dropped in to constantly entertain my trigger finger.

, there isn't anything remotely random in the game, nothing respawns,
Translation: In Call of Duty taught me that baddies just keep coming. I don't understand what dead means,
there's no exploration cause there's isn't anything to explore,
Translation: Now I do know what a wasteland is… and I don’t like it
99% of the map is empty, almost no human enemies to fight.
Translation: I really should be playing a FPS.

its not a fluid and dynamic game world, its very static
Translation: I don’t know what Fluid and Dynamic is, because I seem to think it’s related to random encounters rather than a gameworld that responds to my choices.

Whatever. You annoy me more than any other member on these forums because even though you love Fallout 3 and Bethesda, which is fine, you have this need to come on this part of the forum and heckle. Why? If you don't like the game fine but you don't need to go onto every single topic in a forum about a game you hate just to badger and annoy.

OT: Fallout 2 Will always be my favourite Fallout game (I liked the movie references, okay?) very, VERY closely followed by New Vegas, then Fallout 1, 3 then Tactics and then *shudders* BoS

I completely agree, hardcoe mode is amazing. I played NV before F3 so when I did start up F3 it seemed to be lacking that feeling that hardcoe brought, being able to only use doctors bags and a few other treatments to fix crippled limbs makes you slow down and think before running into a shoot out, IMO.
While I'm here I guess I'll ask, dies anyone think we will see a sequel to the NV story? I dint want to discuss Bethesdas' legal issues just if there are any real opinions as to why they wouldn't, it almost seems like a given right? Tons of people enjoyed the he'll out if it far more than F3, so why not let the players have what they want. The people who liked F3 over NV are still going to get F4, so no harm done
Everybody WINS!! It's like the stars are shining a bit brighter now, lol!
fallout 3 had like 3 times as many awards as new vegas, it was the voted the best game of 2008, it had an avegare rating of 9.5 and on the ign top 10 games of all time, on xbox 's top 10 games of all time, seriously, just cause 20 people on this forum think FO3 svcks, doesn't really mean much....the entire gaming community knows how good bethesda games are.

Please get off the New Vegas forums if you are only here to criticize it. You aren't impressing anyone by pointing out "how much better Fallout 3 and Skyrim are".

Looks like you forgot about rule #14. Just ignore him.

Back on topic - hardcoe mode feels like it should be Fallout feature from start. It's a bit less immersive without mods though, because nothing stops me from drinking ten nuka-colas instead of sleeping. Also it would work better with bigger desert and more harsh rations.

I take it you've never done marathon gaming sessions? More than once, in a epic D&D game when I was younger and we all had the weekend free, I went 3 days without sleep, powered purely by Mountain Dew, cigarettes, and hot pockets, just to keep playing. I'm pretty sure that in a Fallout-style situation, if I didn't feel secure where I was, I'd be slamming down those radioactive, flat, 200 year old sodas like mad, trying to stay awake and alert until I found a secure location to rest in.

Hey - where are you all going with this one? Closed for a while - maybe forever if I get grumpy reading the content of some of these posts.

Too late, got very grumpy especially as I now have some PMs to write. OK, if some of you want to be here to gain another rank on these forums then you seriously need to read the forum rules and take the utmost care of any future posts you make because I will be keeping an eye on them.
