It's been out for a day. And it's PC only. You think some of the complainers might be on consoles? I'm not using this mod, but i can why others would.

I am already using other mods; armor reskins, easy hacking/lockpicking, and a couple of UI mods.

I swore I wouldn't mod this game too early, but that "Sarcastic" option has burned me one too many times. This is a godsend. It still needs a little polishing, but it's fantastic nonetheless. Now I just hope it'll be updated to give the list view with gamepad prompts.

Only 1000? It's been out for a day and most people don't even know about it yet. Furthermore, most people who mod their game wait for the CS, and a good install utility because sometimes mods that are released before the CS can corrupt saves. Not only that, but a lot of people wont' consider modding untl they've completed the vanilla game because it makes teh mods that much more awesome when you can compare the entire experience to the modded one. Only a 1000. Ha.

That applies for mods with plugins, this is just modification of the string files and user interface swf files. Should be safe.

Of course, there is always a risk involved in using mods

NMM for FO4 just needs some INI changes to be done manually, that was with the latest version that I updated to yesterday, so Yes you do need to re-scan your games then when you try to use the option for FO4 it will link you to the page on what changes you need to do. Copy and Paste the relevant line and it's all sweet, very straight forward, as to the Mod Linked thank you very much to the OP, that could/should work well with the No Voice Mod?

Because it's irritating.

The Witcher 3 had too much text simply repeated by Geralt, and it was irritating there.

The short dialogue prompts are much better.

However as mods cater to folk of different tastes, it is perfectly fine that this mod exist and be used.

But as a default?

No, I don't think so.

This particular mod (full dialog) should be OK to use without corrupting your save file since its not an ESP file, its modified SWF UI files and modified strings.

As opposed to vague text like "SARCASTIC"?

HATE NEWSPAPERS
SARCASTIC
YES
NO

They might as well label every dialogue choice "What?"

To each his/her own. SofaJockey found a feature in TW3 irritating, and formed an opinion that it shouldn't have been recreated by default in FO4. But at least he acknowledged that other people have other preferences to him.

Personally, while I have no real problem (yet) with FO4's dialogue implementation (though a 'more' option allowing additional responses would have been good), I do think something like full text display should have been an option in the game at launch. It really does annoy/upset/infuriate a lot of people.

Great to see this mod. I'll probably take a pass on it for my first character, but I'd be surprised if I don't try it out for a second one.

I'm happy to see this mod not only for those who desperately wanted it, but because it lets me know that you're not just limited to a few characters for each player response. Now I can breathe a little sigh of relief as quest building is definitely possible now, and I like building quests!

Holy crap . . . 26,000 total downloads and 24,000 uniques!? I would've never guessed that such a mod would even be created this early much less that it would get that much love so quickly.

It is surprising to me because I really like the vanilla just fine. Its great that PC users who dislike it can get what they want already!

Has anyone realized that every Bethesda game has a very highly rated UI mod which is used by virtually everyone? I just think isn't it obvious if Bethesda just have a look at nexus' top lists to see what players want? I mean crappy UI for PC is happening after every release...

Bethesda UI philosophy: "Let's [censored] PC users over and ignore every single mod that has been implemented in the past that improves the experience for users."

(Funny enough, SkyUI still played well with a controller, better in fact than the vanilla UI which was designed for controller use - [censored] sake).

The Morrowind UI was great though. The PC version had adjustable windows, and I had no problems with its implementation on the Xbox port.

It all went downhill from there.

For those of you who want to get rid of voice as well the closest thing we have at the moment is a mod that turns all of the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1c-3w8hv998&ab_channel=Tyrannicon.

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1091/

Not much different from what we have now really. :P
