Full helmets and hoods that conceal your face?

Post » Tue Aug 25, 2009 11:52 pm

don't ask me why, but I'm one of those guys that likes to be behind a mask in games. I don't know why. I felt that Oblivion had a lack of these (Banana head and Daedric were the only two full helmets pre SI. The one artifact doiesn't really count towards an actual set).

I'd like to see more closed full helmets, scarfs, and hoods that conceal your face. Like the hoods that would conceal an NPC's face in Daggerfall or the concept Dark Brotherhood hood for Oblivion.

What do you guys think?

I want to be a hooded mysterious figure as well! Bring it on Bethesda, or the modders will! :D

Dwarven helmets conceal the face, do they not? So do Daedric.. And also the KotN helmet in Oblivion. But that's just helmets. More hoods and scarves would look really awesome. I agree.

*cough*Dwarven*cough*

Anyway yes i would like this if they didnt look stupid. I simply don't trust BGS to make consistently good head gear.

Yes please. I want to make a Ezio or Altair character! Need white hoods and armored robes. Hopefully they do good shadowing in Skyrim, In oblivion IMO it was horrible, even with a hood on your face has the same exact lighting as before.
I would love scarves to cover your face and they have to be wearable with a hood.

I'm sure they will fit a character I have not planned... Yet.
So yes.

I prefer having the face exposed. Somehow I dislike walking around with a pot on my head. Also, since we're role playing, having a decent conversation with a metal pot on your head just isn't handy.

Though it would be nice to have some of both. To each their own.

Doesn't fit the characters I play, but sure, why not. Would like to have it actually mean something though, other than just the visual. Like it affects disposition depending on who you're facing etc.

I would definitely like to see more full helmets and concealing hoods. My favorite helmets were the Knights of the Nine Crusader Helmet and the Daedric Helmet. I think it would be cool to see some masks and stuff to wear with hoods.

I'll throw my vote in for this. I remember way back in the day with Oblivion (and my ignorance of mods) how this was a major annoyance.

Yes I need those :P I would love if Helmets and Hoods could be worn at the same time as well (probably clipping issues would exist but who knows ?! maybe it would actually be well done :D). Also want masks...not just hoods and scarfs, actual masks, something like http://www.superherohype.com/nextraimages/drdoomfull.jpg

My face is too pretty to conceal :P

Seriously though, I kind of like helmets like that too. Loved the crusader helmet from Knights of the Nine, and it would be cool with some nice hoods for Dark Brotherhood and Thieve's Guild characters.

I want a scarf to wrap around my face, leaving a hole for my eyes.
Oh, and eyepatches.

I agree with pandaman. That kind of hood is epic.
The face-cover would have an odd shape on Argonians and Khajiit though. :ermm:

They had better improve upon this in the next game. I hope they do, it would be a great feature. :)

I'd really like if they'd bring back the glass helmet style from Morrowind.

Oh you know what they need? A 'Phantom of the Opera'-esque mask. That'd be sick.
