one of my peves in rpgs is having to look at super cool clothes on npcs and find out that ill never be able to wear them. so yea the more the merrier
I have to agree, one thing that I liked when I played Morrowind which I've rarely seen in other RPGs is that if I see a person wearing some nice clothing or armor, I could get it myself, so I was rather annoyed that there were several sets of clothes or armor in Oblivion that could not be acquired by the player at all, things like the Emperor's robe, the palace guards' armor, and the Mythic Dawn armor (The last one is sort of justified because it's summoned armor, but still, it's annoying that Bethesda went out of their way to design such a unique armor for the enemies but made it impossible for the player to get it.) So definitely no clothing or armor that can't be looted. For clutter that can't be equipped, I understand that Bethesda can't make every single thing in the game world an item that can be picked up, but I've always liked that the Elder Scrolls let's the player pick up a lot of items that the player has no use for, where in other RPGs, they'd probably just be static environment objects, so this trend should definitely continue in Skyrim, I'd like as many clutter items to be ones the player can pick up as possible, within reason, anyway, I don't expect to be able to steal someone's bed when breaking into the house.
