Full map won't load

I tried e-mailing the support staff and I got an extremely automated response " update your game to 1.3" which I've already done. So Ill post it here to see if anyone else can help me.

So I very recently bought skyrim. Ive played maybe about an hour and I got into the town riverwood. I started the quest retrieve the golden claw and I needed to go to Bleaks Fall Barrow to complete it. So I went and I had an EXTREMELY hard time finding it. So I youtubed an online guide on how to do the quest. To my shock, I realize that I needed to go to this area not shown on my ps3 game. Like the map wasn't loaded completely. To be specific, after the watch tower in which there are 3 people, you head north and you encounter more people. The part where you walk up the stairs to the door is cut off completely, its as if it wasn't there. I've tried restarting the game, starting a new game, etc. Nothing has worked, the map is still cut off. Also, when I tried walking to the cut off part, my character gets stuck.

- When I restarted the game I went with the rebel dude and the imperial dude to see if that would fix the issue - it didn't
-I was a level 3 Nord.

So any advice? What should I do?

Also, my ps3 and the disc is in good condition (considering that I very recently bought it).

Are u talking about the world map or the local map. On the world map it's in the middle(ish) of the map so u would be missing half if it didn't load. The local map u have to discover ie travel there before it displays.

I'm quite sure he means the game world itself. Bleak Falls Barrow is missing in the most literal sense. It's just a huge void in the game world. I have seen people post about this issue in other areas of the map, but I don't think a solution was ever reached. Your only options are probably to avoid that area, shelve the game and hope that a future patch addresses the issue or return your copy.

Try completely uninstalling the game and patch from the PS3 and reinstalling. If that doesn't fix it, you may have a bad game disc.

Yeah I tried that too. That just means deleting it in game data utilities thing and starting the game so it redownloads the patch and stuff right?

Yes, make sure you delete every file in the game data folder (not the game save folder). If you do that, it will go through the installation process which takes about 5-10 minutes.
